After purchase and prepayment over the internet I was notified by email that I should not accept the shipped order until I had opened and inspected for internal damage. They said refusal of delivery was the only return they would accept. The trouble was it was sent by UPS ground and the carrier stated UPS does not allow rejection of a parcel AFTER it is opened. In addition, A.J. Madison did not send it requiring signature verification. I tried to problem solve w/ the UPS guy, begging him to let me open the packaging. He said he would be risking his job to take it back after it had been opened. I tried calling the A.J. Madison shipping questions number and it kept being improperly routed with no one ever answering. The item was an upscale microwave. What was I supposed to do, cook a meal w/ it out on the porch while holding on to the UPS who didn't even need my signature? This policy is impossible for the buyer. Avoid A.J. Madison.
