I bought a Black and Decker laser leveller. However, since the product was a professional and far beyond what I intended to use, I chose to return it within 30 days of the purchase. However, the store manager refused to return the laser leveler saying that it is a "Power Tool" and therefore not eligible for return. The manager also mentioned that my receipt specifically says "No returns on pwer tools unless defective or unopened" because the computer system will print that line only on receipts when a power tool was purchased. However, both the claims by manager are factually incorrect and he lied. The ace store website does not classify a laser leveller as a power tool and the all ace store receipts have the line "No returns on pwer tools unless defective or unopened" printed on them irrespective of what was purchased. He can keep my $40 but I will make sure someone reads these and people know what they are getting in when they shop at ACE hardware stores.
