Know what you're getting into
Before getting involved with ACN, you REALLY need to know what you're getting into.

Yes, it is a multi-level compensation company. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, since to some degree every industry works that way.

Their compensation plan is very good. You earn the small percentage when you only have a few representatives under you. You earn large percentages when there are lots of reps to earn from.

BUT

As a Rep for ACN, you WILL need to become very knowledgable of the different telecommunications companies, their competators, products, services and prices. You WILL need to monitor this often, as companies are constantly changing their special offers.

I ran into many, many people that were interested in joining, but would say..."I'll see how you do first." The problem with that is, you need people to join, not watch you, or you will never be able to make any money.

Do some checking into the people above you, called your Up-line. In my case, the Regional VP above me is a greedy person, with that reputation in the community. (Wish I had known that before I signed up.) When her bonuses were being affected, she no longer cared about helping others (as she professed) but the greedy ugly side showed itself.

However, I have an acquaintance under a different VP, who hasn't had any problems along those lines. I wish I had signed up under them. There is a lot of help in that group.

Before signing, I recommend you fully, FULLY understand how the bonuses work. This is the part that is most heavily promoted, and yes the money is great...if you can earn it. There are ways you can get 'bumped' and not earn anything. Again this is affected by people joining under you.

I do believe in the overall company concept and integrity. But, don't go in blindly like I did. Don't be swayed by emotion. Do you homework and decide if this is truly what you want to do. I am not a salesperson and you must become that, to succeed. I've seen Reps get pushy and obsessive with this. They push ACN on every person they come into contact with and you find yourself doing all you can to avoid them.

Good Luck

People who dont work bitch to much
I just have to say that it is no surprize that there are people out there who cant handle working a program that truly offers a way to make an income that will surpass what anyone would pay you in a traditional job. Most people I meet that think this or any other program is a scam is because you actually have to work! These are the same people who make less that $10 an hour, take long lunch hours, cheat there boss of the time that they get paid, call in sick and will never do anything to go forward in there lives. They will instead sit at there desk and dream of getting married to someone who will make tons of money and save them from there poor pittiful lives. Well That truly NEVER Happens!
Every business needs customers, every business has the right to pay those who do more for them, they also have every right to market products Via through go getters so they will not have to pay people to sit on there ass's and not do anything for the company just so they can have a pay check. I have got news for everyone, direct marketing is our future! Companies can no longer afford to pay idiots to work for them with all of the health care bull and tax problems. This is truly the way for those who want to have a real pay check coming in and have a life to go share. I have lost more money in the stock market than I ever have in a business deal such as this.
If you think that joining a company and sitting on your butt to see if it works is how to measure its value then I would imagine you are the same people who ownes an exercise video and equipment and thinks that watching it sit in the corner is how to loose weight!
Nothing in life happens without getting off of your butts and making it happen!
Obviously the goverment would have shut them down many many years ago had they seen any questions regarding there business habits.
So the truth for all of you who have nothing better to do that to bitch about the truth as to why you did not make money which is you just did not put out any effort, is to get off of your missinformed butts and see that you are truly the problem, not the company.

Unauthorized charges
I got a phone service trough a local dealer. They told me that they will send the router pack and i will be charged 45$ including shipping and monthly bill has to be 23 dolars.

I didnt set the equipment and change my ming because they charge me 30 dolars for a month and when i called they told me that i sign up for a 1 year contract and there is a 39 dollars termination fee, but the agent didnt mention that only i can cancel anytime. First of all i didnt sign any paperwork otherwise i will know that its not good deal for me. Every service has to have a short period of canceling or charge some restocking fee not this one that cost me 117 dollars.

Stay away!
Acn preys on people looking for a business opportunity. They pimp members (without representing them) to gain customers, knowing that the work procedure is designed for the member to fail leaving Acn with customers that was left with company when member is no longer a member. I am surprise the company is still running. I call this predator practice. They have hired actors speaking and dressing as if they are multi millionaires. I saw one spoke person who was suppose to be a millionaire with a big hole in her sock at a Bally's work out centre. She was working out without gym shoe and had a hole in her sock. She did not see me. I was so disturbed by it I left. I then paid more attention while attending conferences and saw that these people speaking wore the same outfits repeatedly. Even though the phone service is real you will not have a portion of the business. You will not become a dealer of acn. They will not represent you and you are not to use there name under no circumstances. It is truly a pimp game.

Please don't get involved!
Thinking I could help out my parents and make some commission of my own, I fell into this trap of ACN where a "friend" recruited me. I drive to Orange county thinking it was going to be a formal interview and all for the job. Turned out to be one big meeting with a notepad and a video with Donald Trump. Being a business student I thought this would be a great opportunity, especially with Trump being a bit of inspiration. After the movie they ask you a question if you are skeptical or not, pretty much. But the friend reassures you that everything is great that they are planning on getting a beamer in the next 3 months. They pushed and pushed me. Asked for a one time fee of 499 dollars. Everything was just a blur. On top of the 500 bux, the rep signed me up with 2 accounts, one supposedly for a demo the other being for my personal use. Making that completely expensive, they said it would be 25 bucks a month. No. Turns out I was charged 43 for both accounts. ON top of my two accounts, I signed up for my landline in which they said would be 25 dollars per month as well. I filled out a form, and knew that the landline was in honor of my stepfather. I told them I had to go to work, that I filled out most of it but got freaked out by the signature. I didn't sign it, I told them I'll be back tomorrow and left. While they are sitting there questioning me why i have to go to work in which this will only take another 5 minutes on top of 3 hours I had already spent there. On my drive back to LA it dawned on me that I need to cancel.

As soon as I got home I immediately called ACN and asked to delete my representative account. I was able to get my 499 back. With my "friend" calling me every day to make a meeting to sign and all that jazz. Thinking everything was over. IT wasn't And to this day still isn't. (It's been 3 months). At the end of that month, I was charged for both of my accounts 43 each and of the VOIP boxes total of 80 for the voip boxes. In which they said would be 10 dollars each. My stepfather also received a bill himself, and I thought how was that possible I never signed the application and never went back. My mother calls the company to cancel the landline account saying that none of us ever authorized it. But they said they had a "voice recording" of me when I was cancelling my account on the phone. They threatened to take me into court for forgery. We asked for them to fax the application and it was signed. I think out of all people I would know how to forge my own parents names (especially for those old high school absent notes) but this signature was not anything close to what his signature really looks like proved that someone forged his signature and processed it. I threatened the company back that I told them not to process the app and that I never signed, but since all the print was in my writing they said I had no proof and was still forgery.

The company called my cell phone saying that I must call them so that they could further with the lawsuit. I heard the message and thought F**K them I don't have to call back or listen to them. They never called me back after the message. (thank goodness)

Thinking that my mother successfully cancelled the landline, I receive the ACN bill that my stepfather handed to me for 93 dollars for a course of 3 months, yesterday. I'm not sure if he paid the first bill. Anyways, I just now paid for the bill, and I'm really skeptical in calling the company for cancelling the account after they threatened me for a lawsuit. But my parents insist that I take care of everything. It's just so horrible. But for revenge, I suppose not really must justice was received, ACN demanded for their VOIP boxes back from me and offered a refund. I just sold them on EBAY, i got half of what i paid but ACN won't get their products back from me. ACN will fool you and take you down with them. Please don't get involved.
