Unwanted Incoming SMS from 5432101
I am a Customer of Airtel Pre-paid Service. My Airtel Mobile Phone No is 9007147193 (IMEI No. 357585007123895). I have registered for DO NOT DISTURB on your website www.airtel.in http: www.airtel.in and my DND Registration Number is S1015105288 dated Dec 10 2009. Eversince I have opted for tariff plan of 0.50 paise per minute very recently I am receiving unwanted SMS regularly everyday. SMS Sender s ID: 5432101. I am also un-necessarily charged Rs 1 - per call or sms which I came to know through service reply whereas immediately before receiving this service reply regarding last call or sms charges I neither talked to any person nor I did send any SMS. Thus my talk value is reducing minute after minute every day wthout any service from Airtel.

You are therefore requested to look into the matter and stop all incomig SMS from Sender s ID: 5432101 and also stop un-necessary reduction of talk value

Airtel Network Issue
Hello Sir,

I am residing in G-6, Ashok Manor, Block - B, M.A.V Rajapandian Avenue, Rajakilpakkam, Chennai - 600073. I have been facing lot of network issue with AirTel and my calls are getting disconnected every now and then. I have registered lots of complaints with AirTel in the past few months and i have not got any response so far. My network level is NIL inside house. I become totally unreachable when I am in my house
and I am missing many important and urgent calls every day!

There are so many people in and aroung my area facing this problem
I am totally disappoined with the way AirTel is responding to costumer problems.
Request the officials to take strict action to resolve this problem.

Recycled my Phone number for no reason
I bought a new Airtel SIMcard on Jan24 2010 from MobileStore in Basaveshwarnagar, Bangalore.
I provided address verification, etc as requested. Suddenly after 15 days, I stopped getting phonecalls and could not place outgoing calls. I went back to the showroom and demanded my money back. They told me that they sent my address verification details, etc and my phone had issues because by mistake I might have pressed some number which automtically stops service. It was hard to beleive but I dint care as long as my phone was working again.
It worked for 2 days and again I had same issue. I had to call the Hotline aand they were totally useless. After dropping my call 2 times, finally a Superviser named Punita told me my phone number got recycled. I demanded to know how it can happen and she kept saying sorry. She asked me to buy new SIM card for no fault of mine. I was shocked, its not a matter of money, but AIRTEL inspite of accepting their fault could not revive my number nor give me a new SIM card for free.
I have decided never to use AIRTEL again.
Please stay away from this provider...

Unuual bill
I have taken 2 landlines and broadband connections from airtel executive on january, they sent me the bill of 15 dec to 15 jan on 17 january. This is highly unacceptable.

Customer Care
Hi,
Iam using Airtel from 6 months..it has good network and very gud customer care response..but yesterday i called to custcare one issue relating to my Tariff Validity...they have ended the call abrupty...and it was happened for me 5 times yesterday...after that iam not able to reach custcare only...i think they kept a limt on number of calls...
It is realy hurtng when custcare ends the call abruptly..whom to blame and whom to Question...Iam posting it with a hope of taking issue infront of them.so that it will not repeat in future...

Cheating customers by misinforming them about the plans
When you switch to a plan, or add up VAS like GPRS etc to your mobile plan, how do you get to know about the plan ? Customer Service (121) right ? They tell you the plan details and you switch or upgrade to the plan...

I did the same. But when I switched from Blackberry 299 to 499 plan I was told 500 MB of data usage is free. (Which seems fine specially if they are offering unlimited data plan for 899). I switched to that plan.I would have used around 50 MB in a month and to my surprise, the bill just for the data services was whopping 17, 000 !

When I asked about the details, I was told that as per the plan, the free data usage is 500 KB not MB. This issue of Customer Service (121) misinforming the plan has been pending for 3 months now... and yesterday all my outgoing calls, sms, emails etc. got barred. I went to their BG. Road, Bangalore office (which is the head office for Karnataka) and the customer executive their told me that they can not assist me with this issue, only 121 can help. I spoke to the guy who presented himself as the head of billing team and bluntly implied by his never ending repetition of "Sir, our customer care could not have told MB instead of KB" that I am at fault here...And as per the policy they can not share the 121 call when I activated the 499 plan ! Do I have to go to a consumer court to get it resolved ? (There seems to be no responsible response from Airtel)

I am frustrated with
1. what a company - they have grown so big that they don't have the decency to attend to a customer. 1 customer falling off their service doesn't affect them...
2. Rs. 200 extra (499 plan and 299 plan) for 500 KB ! What world do we live in... what's the next ? the call charges are Rs. 16 / minute and 121 tells you 60 paisa per call ?

Customers have no power in this country what so ever ! - I know the next thing will be Airtel stouts outside my door barging in to claim their money !!! (as per the horrible stories I have heard...)

My humble advice to all you consumers is, not to fall into any of the customer service executive traps, always call 121 10 times and ask about the plan from 10 people before making a decision. You never know which one of them is tell you the correct plan.

I hope someone responsible at Airtel reads this or at least, this review saves you the harassment that I am going through...

I want to complaint to airtel about their advertisements they play while somebody calls me, instead of playing the song for which I am paying airtel 30 rupees per month and 15 rupees for the song that i want to be played. This is a really shameful behavior for such a big company. I am considering filing a case with consumer court against Airtel for misleading consumer.

no refund of my data card deposit
It has been 8 months since I disconnected my Airtel data card. No signs of refunds yet. When I call them, they tell that cheque was returned. I used to receive all the bills at time at none of them was returned. I always believed that Airtel was a good company but they are like others(Reliance).

No response when asked about Refund
Hi

I am Subramanian. I have been using Airtel broadband connection for the past 1 year.
My Broadband land line number - 040 40204823.

I recently shifted my room in the same street and i placed request for relocation.
After few days, i got a response that there is no feasibility in that area. Then i placed a request
for Cancellation.

Last week (Feb 13th), one Sales person came to my room and he was enquiring whether i need airtel boradband
connection. He checked for feasibility and he said YES. Please note that for the same address, just one
week back, i got a call that i do not have feasibility for connection.

Then, he collected 500Rs and all the documents which are needed. I even gave Rs.1000 extra which is required
for Bachelors as Security Deposit. With in 2 days, they said connectivity is not there.

My issues,
1. Without checking the correct feasibilty, how can one collect all my documents and Security Deposit : 1000 + Installation Charge - 500.
2. 1 week back, some one from Airtel told, there was no feasibility and last week some one said, there was feasibility and 2 days back, again

3. When asked about refunding of my money (Rs.1500), no body is giving me proper answer.
4. Time & money Wasted for these people and repeated calls.
5. When i called Airtel Cusomter care, they did not serve me anything. They simply said it is not related to us and asked me to call directly the Sales person. Should Airtel Customer care should be in sync with this info ???
