My garage door did not open completely especially in cold weather. When he first came to evaluate the problem, he made it seemed as if this was a large problem requiring sometime to do the work. I agreed to pay because I was unfamiliar with the work involved. All he did was added tension to the spring and tightened the roller hinges. All this work was done within 30min. Total charge was $329.93. This was all labor. I called 3 other companies in the area the next morning and asked for quotes for the work done. I did not tell them that I already had the work done. They each quoted me a price range of $62 to $69. I called America's Best Overhead Door and explained the problem. I did not get a response until 4 days later from the owner, Mr. George Murphy. I missed Mr. Murphy's call. He left a message on my answering machine saying that the charges were correct. I called back 10 minutes later and was told that he had left for the day. I left my phone number, but he never returned my call.
