We hired a contractor and refinished hardwood floors in both living room and family room in May, 2010. After couple weeks later, we noticed not only small holes appeared on new hardwood floors but it got spreaded out rapidly. We hired a Terminix for the cause and found it caused by the post beetles living in the new hardwood floors. As the insects damaged the new hardwood floors as well as old hardwood floors, we had to un-install all hardwood floors and hired a exterminator to stop the spreading. We claimed the incident to both the HomeDepot and the Armstrong. As the Armstrong asked for the proof, we submitted the all receipts and Teminix reports. The Armstrong didn’t provide any update on the claim for three months. Finally, we reached out to them and found the claim got denied without any reasons or explanations for couple months. We reached out to the HomeDepot as well however they said they had to behind the Armstrong and couldn’t help us on the damage. As a consumer, we trusted the products and brand name such as HomeDepot and Armstrong. Not only this is not a good customer services but they also betrayed customers.
