We hired a contractor and refinished hardwood floors in both living room and family room in May, 2010. After couple weeks later, we noticed not only small holes appeared on new hardwood floors but it got spreaded out rapidly. We hired a Terminix for the cause and found it caused by the post beetles living in the new hardwood floors. As the insects damaged the new hardwood floors as well as old hardwood floors, we had to un-install all hardwood floors and hired a exterminator to stop the spreading.
