Service
Dealing with company has been an absolute fiasco. First they never sent the equipement within the time frame they promised. When I complained, they told me they did not have the order and talked me into placing another order. A week later a service technician arrived unannounced to install a DSL line. A day later a second service technician arrived to instal another DSL line. I told him there must be some mistake as someone had already installed the line. He checked the line and left.
A day later a modum arrived. A day thereafter a second modum arrived. After much effort and over 2 hours of call time to ATT's support line, I managed to get the DSL line working. Whew! My worries were over - or so I thought!
I phoned ATT to cancel the one line, as they had obviously duplicated the order. This they confirmed and agreed to cancel the one line. About an hour later my DSL service stopped working completely. That was THREE days ago! Since then I have called them endlessly and spent a small fortune on cell phone time. As this is a business, my whole business has come to a complete halt (we also use VOIP Phones). They promised to send a technician, but he never arrived. I am at my wits end. Unfortunately I cannot get another service provider to supply service that meets our minimum speed requirements. ATT's measely 6 MBPS is barely ample, but they are all we can get where we are. I HATE this company. I will do everythinbg I can to publicize what a terrible company they are. ATT SUCKS BIG TIME!

lousy service in Iowa City
If you live on Westgate, or Gilmore Court in Iowa City forget using ATT as a phone service carrier. The bars vary from zero to three during the course of a single call. I see neighbors walking outside in the cold trying to get a signal. I know because I am out there, also. This inside a major university city only a mile from University Hospital. They told me I would get 3G a year ago. I would be happy to get functioning voice phone service. The iPhone is nice, but it isn't worth giving up a working telephone. I end up using Skype to place calls.

I ordered Att home phone and internet and received my rewards post card and I went to the site and I could not log on. I put my billing phone number with area code and it said billing number must be ten digits and I tried it three times and the same message kept coming up and yes I made sure it was right. How weak is that I feel sorry for the guy that had to wait 30 min on hold and then got cut off.

when am i going to be able to get rebates that "att" has told me that i would be receiving long time ago .They told me it would help me pay with my bill .I haven't gotten anything, my rebates was suppose to be $250.00 where . i thougth ya'll wre better than any other company.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
After waiting at a counter for 20 minutes the customer service rep asked me if I had signed in. I didn't know of any sign in list and was shown a clipboard near the door. There was no sign telling cutomers to sign in and the clip board was lying down so you couldn't see it unless you knew to look for it. So the rep says I have to go to the end of the line even though she knew I was there the whole time. I protested that I should be next in line regardless of the clip board sign in which seems to be a secret! The rep refused to serve me ahead of the others which would now require another 30 minutes of waiting. I couldn't believe I was being treated so unfairly! I will take my business else where. Employee Mistake/Customer Pays
This is a letter that I have written to AT&T that explains my experiance.
Let me begin by saying that my family has been with AT&T for as long as I can remember and it is a shame the way that I have been treated over the last two days by your company. This ordeal began Saturday afternoon at 1:30 when I attempted to extend my contract and upgrade phones for me and my wife. I called and told the salesman which phones we would like and he came back with a price of $209 for the phones with the two year extension. I agreed and he received my debit card information. When he sent the information through he replied “It is showing up as the full price of the phones” which was $689. He never said I charged you the full price. Realizing his mistake he got a supervisor to adjust the cost and then tried to run the corrected amount of $209 which the bank declined. I had checked my balance before I called and knew that I had $755 in my account so I told him that I would call the bank and find out what the problem was then call back. That is when I found out what he had done. I immediately called back and explained the situation to the new salesman. From 1:30 to 8:30 I was on the phone mostly on hold, spoke with six different representatives, and got the same results from everyone, nothing. They said that there was no way to stop an order (that I never placed) that has been placed. I would have to wait until I received the phones (that I never ordered) which would take three to five days, mail the phones (that I never ordered) back which would take another three to five days, and then they would refund the money within thirty days. Now I have $66 to support my family with for two weeks all because of a mistake and order that your employee placed, not me. That has to be unlawful in some way. Is AT&T going to buy my child’s food and diapers or give my daughter lunch money? Is AT&T going to pay the six insufficient fund charges I have received because of this? No, they are too worried about receiving there cell phones back rather than covering there employees mistake. It seems to me that AT&T has gotten to big and forgotten about what makes company great. Maybe you have forgotten about a thing called customer service/satisfaction. It is very unfortunate that this has happened and I assure you that neither I nor my family will ever give AT&T another dollar of our money. You have now lost six cell phone accounts, three residential services, and three DSL accounts not to mention the countless people that will read this letter and think; maybe I should go with another carrier. Great polices AT&T, great polices.
