Att cheated me I am new to their internet service I went into a att store in my mall today and I bought a gateway modem/router the lady didn't seem to know much about anything in there she told me number one the device will work as soon as I hook it up well it didn't because she lied to me and told me I didn't need a phone line two half way though the order for the device she signed me up for uverse even though I wanted regular dsl pro so she then had to start all over with the order form took forever so I get home with the device and of coarse it don't work I called up customer service and they for some reason say my address don't exist or my phone number or my name omg I'm must be a ghost then so then I was told that I have to wait two weeks for someone to hook it up for me they were gonna charge me a fee to hook up dsl in my home why can't att just be truthfull to there customers. And stop fuckin lyin to people to make sales I'm very unhappy and I'm returning there modem and I will not pay for anything

Regulatory cost recovery charge
If you refer to the "additional charges" explanation document on ATTs website it describes the highest amount of Regulatory Cost Recovery Charge for my zip / state of North Carolina as $0.62.

Further it clarifies the Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) as a Component of the Regulatory Cost Recovery Charge.

I therefore submit that the following two separate charges combined exceed the highest cost of $0.62 stated in the explanation of additional charges and request that the additional two charges totalling $0.18 be reversed immediately.

TELCOM RELAY SERVICE SURCHARGE $0.09
REGULATORY COST RECOVERY CHARGE $0.62

Scam
I have been a Cingular/ATT wireless customer for about 4 years now. In june of 2007, I ordered a new Sony Ericcson phone. The phone was rebated $75.00, which is one of the reasons I purchased it. When I submitted the information to secure my rebate, I erroneously omitted some of it. Att`s rebate company sent me a letter notifying me of this fact, telling me what additional information I would need. The letter was addressed to Mr.Ana A.(last name withheld), not Dana A., which is my given name.I promptly resubmitted the rebate form, including the omitted info, along with a letter notifying them of the fact that they had misspelled name, and that all future communications between them and myself be sent tho me under my correct name. Several weeks went by and I received my rebate in the form of two gift cards with my name printed on them. But when I looked at the name on the cards, they read Ana A. ! I contacted ATT customer service and was told that they would resend me replacement cards, but that it would take up to an additional 12 weeks to receive them. There was no way that I could present those cards to a merchant and convince that my name is Ana, considering that I was a 42 year old MAN! The service rep suggested that I use the cards towards my ATT account. I was under the impression that a rebate is my supposed to be your money to use as you see fit. I wanted my money to use the money for other purposes, so I resubmitted the info a third time. Nothing happened. After many months went by, I again contacted ATT customer service, at which time I told them of all I had been through trying to secure what was supposed to be my $75.00.The rep personally contacted the rebate company. They assured her that they would resubmit the refund within a month. Again nothing happened. I called Att again in an attempt to get my rebate, at which time a representative told me, that in essence, she could not help me, and that I would have to deal directly with the rebate company.I tried writing again, even threatening to send the matter to my state atty.general`s office, but to no avail. I feel cheated, and robbed.My cellular contract is up in a few months, and despite having satisfactory service from ATT over the last few years, I am shopping for a new cellular carrier.I have heard that the telecommunications industry is the most hated by american consumers.Now I understand why.

Refund
Yea, same thing happened to me. ATT changed my long distance plan to a more expensive one without my consent when I m0ved to another place. I ended up paying more than I should have and ended up with a $90 credit after contacting them about this matter. They also had the nerve to add late fees because of them not applying the credit to my account which would have made it current. When I told them I want the money put back into my banking account, they said they couldn't do it! They can only put the money toward future payments on my Bill! (Self serving idiots!) They said the only way I could get tangible cash is to close my account with them and they would send me a check! (I think you can see where this is headed!)

rewards
I was offered a $75.00 Visa gift card as well as a $50.00 modem rebate from ATT in Feb. 2009. These were incentives to purchase internet service from them. I had my internet hooked up on 14 Mar. I was not told when I agreed to this that I wasn't eligible for the gift card until at least 30 days after service was officially begun. I have checked the rewards site every other day and it still tells me I'm not eligible for any rewards. No one seems to know anything about a rebate, either. I've contacted ATT no less than 3 times and still can't get them to honor their promise. They also sent me a letter I was to sign and return to them but it was written in Spanish so I have no idea what they were trying to get me to agree to...I requested the letter in English but never received it. I have a suspicion it was my rebate form.

att rewards
i changed from brighthouse to att for my internet & home phone. i was told by att, i would get a reward for both. when i called about the house phone, i first was told to call back on such & such a date. when i did, i was told wait another week. now they say i am over the time to get the reward. i am going back to brighthouse

false sales
I visited the store on Sunday (march, 29, 2009) to purchase a case and headphones for my phone. While talking to the sales rep., I informed him that I purchased the phone from BestBuy the previous week. The sales ass. began to push me to purchase a bluetooth earpiece stating that i'll gat a $30 rebate. I told the rep. that I do not need an earpiece but he cotinued to push and i purchased the earpiece to later find out that i will not qualify for the rebate because i did not purchase rhe phone from Att. I then discovered on the back of the reciept that if I take the earpiece back, i'll be charged a $20 restocking fee so, I've lost my money and gave this sales rep. commision.

air card service
I have a att air card bought 2/9/09 was not told that I have only 5gig cap on my 60 dollar charge a month : looked on bill online about 3/1/09 and there was not a bit usage amount so I kept using card continually: on today 3/17/09 in the morning I tried to connect was rejected code 718; called att cs this evening (Akram) said over 7 gig was used and will be charged well over a thousand dollar for next bill due ; I will keep you posted on outcome of this...
