I was offered the opportunity by Avast.com to upgrade a free version of Avast Anti-virus to the Paid License for the Avast Professional Edition. I purchased the 2 year upgrade. They debited my account for the purchase price immediately and the confirmation page stated that I would receive the purchased license number within 48 hours. It never came.

After two weeks I attempted to contact them and discovered that they did NOT have a customer support number or email address - and the listed email contact numbers were non-working addresses. I then began to use the "Resend Paid License" link on a daily basis in order to get them to send or resend the purchased product - with no result.

I even contacted one of their listed 'resellers' in the USA in hope that they might have a direct way in which I could contact them regarding the situation and was informed that he did not have a direct contact address or email and they are notorious for this type of thing.

It has been almost a month now and every attempt I have made to contact them has resulted in 'undeliverable' emails and NO response to the "resend Paid License" forms. Although the FREE product is good - I strongly discourage anyone from purchasing the 'paid for' "upgrade" as this appears to be a scam.
