I had a mortgage with BAC Servicing and my house burned and was a total loss. I received a check from the insurance that was more than the payoff of my mortgage. I submitted the check to BAC Servicing to payoff my mortgage and return the overpayment of funds to me. That is where the trouble began, I had to explain to them why I was paying off the mortgage and rebuilding then they to determine if they would allow me to that. It took 14 days for them to decide it would be ok. They paid off my mortgage and then I had to wait 14 days for them to decide if they wanted to return my money that was more than the payoff. Then I was told payoff dept had to decide and payoff dept told me that property claims would have to decide. Then I was told that I had to request the money to be sent to me. Then I was told they had to send in a request to pay me. Then I was told they had to tell their accounts payable department who to make the check out to. Which took 3 days. Then it had to be requested to have it printed which takes 3 days. Needless to say I am homeless and still waiting for them to release MY MONEY to ME.
