I had a mortgage with BAC Servicing and my house burned and was a total loss. I received a check from the insurance that was more than the payoff of my mortgage. I submitted the check to BAC Servicing to payoff my mortgage and return the overpayment of funds to me. That is where the trouble began, I had to explain to them why I was paying off the mortgage and rebuilding then they to determine if they would allow me to that.
