I've been a good credit card customer with Bank of America for over ten years. Never made a late payment or went over the limit and still have very good credit scores. Bank of America notified me that the rate on my credit card is being raised by 10 points, to almost 24 %. I've read that BOA and other big banks are raising rates for everyone and increasing all types of other fees. For these big banks to receive billions in bailout funds and also make billions in profits from interest and fees is just pure greed. The economy will not recover until people can start spending again. That won't happen while everyone is spending their extra income just to pay credit card bills. I encourage everyone to stop doing business with the big banks and write their elected officials about how Bank of America, Chase, Citigroup, and the other big banks are slowly destroying our economy.
