I entered into a purchase and sales agreement for a boat contingent on an acceptable survey. $2200 deposit was given. the contract states "in the event the sales is not consummated by reason of unsatisfactory survey...Deposit shall be returned" I called and emailed to get my deposit and everytime the "check is in the mail." It has been 30 days since the contract has been broken and no idea when it will be returned. The contract does not outline within so many days the deposit will be returned but it is frustrating that this is open ended. It is the holidays and this is a lot of money to me. My gut feeling told me i should not do business with this place and i think it was right. i do not want to lose this money.
