Very poor service!
Airtel is not disconnecting my number even after placing several requests with the customer care department. They keep on calling me for the payment of the monthly Bill, however I've asked them to give me my final bill and disconnect my number.

This is happening from the last 15 days. I have an advance rental plan, though I was not informed about the advance rental when I was given the plan... but I ignored it.

I asked them to give me the final bill in July itself deducting the advance rent but airtel people call and instead of giving the final bill and talking about the disconnection, try to sell different plans.

Moreover, they put International numbers in my bill and I don't know anyone outside India... I'm really bugged up with such kind of behavior and such poor customer service.

This is harassment by the Bharti Airtel. And I know what will happen in the end. They will ask me to pay the bill with the advance rental as the number was not disconnected.

Somebody do something about these people... Airtel sucks guys... Please DON'T ever take Airtel connection.. That's for your good.

Debiting GPRS fee without consent
Debited Rs.299/- each in may'07 and in jun'07 without my consent, and refusing to refund. Beware!

Fraudulent charges!
This company has fraudulently charged my credit card more than once to the amount of $400. I do not even have any account with them and have not done any business with them! Twice charges have appeared on my account under this business and the phone number listed 1-877-247-5051 is not working! I had to have my credit card canceled and file disputes with my credit card company. I would recommend that no one enter into business with this company or any of it's subsidiaries. The website does not provide easy access to customer service which I tried. Nightmare!

No customer care number
Company like bharti - airtel doesn't have a customer care number whom one can talk , number like 121 and their rest of the number cant provide any info on blocked pin codes.

I blocked my phone at 2300hrs and now its 0500, i spent on hours but unable to locate their any executive who can assist me in giving puk code to deblock my number. Disgusting and most pathetic service, i would rather [prefer to shift to tata's or vodaphone hutch.

Ask mr sunil mittal about the question on customer care he would be blank... I am sure he himself would be using any other service provider that his own bharti airtel.

Bogus billing
This is the company that always keep billing on their own way and not as mentioned in the plans or offers! Beware!

Delay in service
I am customer of Bharati-AirTel and for past few months complaining the customer care about my services. They stopped my service without any prior information they delete my SIM from their system when I go to their customer relation ship center they suggest me to tack new sim card when I take new SIM card after 5 days they start my services for incoming only. When check my baleens after activating the system it showing only 1.63 Rs but when my service is closed that time my balance is 61Rs. When I call to customer care service from other land line (Because they closed customer care no 123 from my mobile) every time they says call after 1hr or 2hr.

Last 15 days I am facing the same problem

Unable to make outgoing calls
Unable to make o/g call to a bihar airtel no. Since the day i have taken the connection. I have called customer care lot of times but they are not rectifying it at all. Even their tat is over.

Overbilling & disconnection
I booked connection under scheme offered for NTPC employee, so I have paid Rs. 799.00 Rental for 2 years through cheque.

I got my first bill in December 2006. I complained that for given as friend & family number you have charged Rs. 1.75 & for all numbers you have charged Rs. 1.75 per call. Airtel representative assured me that he will rectify the problem & extra amount bill adjusted in next bill. I paid bill. Again next month I got the bill having charges Rs. 1.75 per call without adjustment of previous extra amount. I complained again he assured me he will solve the problem & excess amount will be settled in bill. Many times i complained at help desk & nodal officer. Every one assured me solution within 48 hours. The nodal officers are not attending my calls. They have changed my account number & scheme. In the new scheme they charging very high call rates. I have paid rentals Rs.799.00 for two years. They are adjusting any amount & disconnected my phone.

I am getting any authority where i can complain for such fraud.

Worse service ever. The call drops and their site doesn't open!
I have used many calling cards, but I have never came across as useless calling card like that of airtel. The call gets dropped every now and then.

Moreover, for getting my account activated, I had to call their customer service and after endless number of calls, came across a guy who said to call later as their system was down. You can easily judge the performance of their calling card if you try to visit their site which is down or tortoise slow most of the times.

Please go for reliance, its a more than 100% better bet and a value for money.

Around $195 wrongly charged to my account
On March 24, I made a call to India. I tried to make another call, however, I got the message 'your account is password locked'. I filed a complaint with Airtel and they said that they will resolve this in 24 hours. I had around $195 in the account that time.

Not sure what they did, but next day when I attempted to make a call, I got the message that I just have 0.01 cent in my account. I was shocked. I checked and found that there were a large number of calls that were charged to my account which were not made by me. Many of them were calls that were running concurrently from the same registered number - which even the airtel supervisor, when I contacted them, said was not possible and it was a system error which will be corrected in 24 hours. However, it has been 5 days... nothing has been done to resolve this... now they are just saying that we cannot do anything as the amount is huge... and they are not willing to talk to me.
