Deducting money for nothing
I complained to you last week saying i am blacklisted by Cell C for wrong reason.they mentioned that i have to pay them R2700.00 before they can forward my details to ITC for updates. i then paid their money and forward proof of payment to their consultants by the name of Crystal .Unfortunately i never heared anything from them.
To my suprise they have deducted R300.00 but i don't know what am i paying for because i told them i don't want business with them ANYMORE.
YOUR ASSISTANCE WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED.

How to use staff ineffectively - a lesson from Cell C
Without any text messages or phone calls, my 2-year cell phone contract came to an end in February without me realising it - that is until I saw the bill! Without my subscription discount, my debit amount was 4 times my usual payment. The strangest thing however, was that I was offered an upgrade 5 days AFTER my contract expired!? Trying to explain my situation was useless as my 4 e-mails and numerous calls all ended up with somebody else on the other side (I think I'm acquianted with a quarter of the staff at Cell C now!!). So now, after days of waiting for confirmation of my phone choice and the contract details, the number to the consultant I've been waiting for to get back to me, just remains engaged.. . This is a very, very frustrating situation and it doesn't help that I have to explain the whole scenario over and over to every new pair of ears before I get transferred to somebody else. Personally, I think they are just stalling to get another month of full subscription out of me.

4 times the repair and still nothing
I have had a cellc contract ever since i started working. I am on control chat 300 currently, i have no RD's on my account. I took our a Nokia N73, had it for about 1 year . The problem is, the phone started giving me software problems just after a year. I took the phone back 4 times between last year and this year, for the first three times they sent the phone for repairs and it came back it had the same problems. My warranty has expired and while the phone has been sent in for repairs for the 4th time- they said it will be swapped out. I have received no notification on what will be done as I am wating long for a sms to inform me on what is happening. I go into the store, the branch consultants gives me answer to pass the buck and blame the repair guys. They will not even phone to find out what the progress is.

Cell C wrongfully debits my account
On the 30th of January 2010, I noticed a debit order of R 1, 899.60- from Cell C. I then to call them to find out why they debited my account as I do not and have never had a contract with Cell C. I was told I have a contract which I opened in December 2009. This was a surprise, I advised them it was fraud then coz I never applied. I faxed an affidavit, a copy of ID with my statement for investigation. I was told this is under investigation and was given ref: 4034554. To, my surprise, on the 19th of February 2010. I was debited by cell c for the same amount, though I advised them that the account must have been opened fraudulently. I have send Cell C e-mails to find out what is happening and what are they doing about it., I have not received any e-mails nor calls from Cell C. What the hell is going on Cell C? Even if I applied, I wouldn’t afford any contract, I would be declined. I need some answers because you are really messing up my credit rating and costing me money for the unpaid on my account, which you have to pay for.

UNAUTHORISED CHARGES AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I HAD UNAUTHORISED CHARGES DEDUCTED FROM MY CELL C TOP UP CREDIT. A WEBSITE BY THE NAME OF NSFWMOB DEDUCTED MY AIRTIME WITH R80 ON WEDNESDAY 15 DECEMBER 2010. I CONTACTED THESE PEOPLE AND THE EXPECT YOU TO ENTER A CELL NUMBER AND SOME PASSWORD OR THE OTHER WHEN CALLING THEM SO I CANNOT REACH THEM AS I HAVE NO PASSWORD BECAUSE I HAVE NOT SUBSCRIBED TO ANY WEBSITE. WHEN CONTACTING CELL C, THEY SAID THEY CAN DO NOTHING FOR ME AND GAVE ME NUMEROUS NUMBERS TO CALL, ALL OF WHICH COULD NOT HELP ME. THIS IS PATHETIC. I EXPECT PROTECTION FROM MY SERVICE PROVIDER AGAINST SUCH THINGS. AND WHEN SPEAKING TO THEM, I EXPECT MORE HELP. SPEAKING TO ANYONE AT CELL C IS LIKE SPEAKING TO A BRICK WALL. THEY'VE BASICALLY TOLD ME ITS MY PROBLEM AND THEY WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP ME.
I ALSO WENT ONTO THE CELL C WEBSITE TO LODGE A COMPLAINT, WE'LL SEE IF THEY EVER RESPOND TO ME BECAUSE I HAVE USED THEIR NEW TELL TREVOR COMPLAINTS FORUM BEFORE AND RECEIVED A FAULT NO AND A REFERENCE NUMBER THAT WENT NOWHERE, IM STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO RESPOND TO MY COMPLAINTS. IM VERY UPSET AND CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I LEFT VODACOM FOR THIS CRAP.

pathetic internet service!!!!!!
I bought a databundle for my phone, but I cannot even view any website in my browser! I get timeout errors /cannot connect to the site errors - even my emails take ages to download, just to find out that I am connected on EDGE!!! Its pathetic!!! Why do cellc even bother to offer internet service if they do not have the infrastruture.
I also have problems when trying to make calls the last month, friend of mine on cellc also have the same complaint!!! No matter where we are-we can't take calls when we want to and whe cannot phone when we want to!!! Their call centres also suck- I was holding on for almost 11 minutes untill I disconnected the call out of pure frustration!!!

DISGUSTED
In March 2009 Cell C delivered a handset to me. I was misled by the rep. The contract was cancelled. The handset was collected by them. I thought that was that. I started receiving phone calls from Cell C that my account was in arrears. I explained the whole situation to each person who called and every time I was promised that the matter would be resolved. NOT! Next, they said the handset was not returned to them! I received a call from a debt collector who said I owed Cell C R1574 being the balance on my account with them. She promised to take the matter up with Cell C. Next thing I was BLACKLISTED! PLEASE NOTE: I never received any statement or letter or notice either by fax e-mail or post before I was blacklisted. This is illegal! I submitted my complaint to several customer complaint sites. Also on Cell C’s Tell Trevor site. They responded through two of the sites and urged me to freeze the complaint saying they do not know what to do because I reported the matter to other sites as well! They made public promises (on the two sites) to attend to me problem. BUT to date (9 Dec 10) not a single call or e-mail or any other form of communication from Cell C with me. It seems this is the beginning and not the end! I challenge you, Cell C, to come to the party…

Cell C is stealing money
My wife upgraded her contract over the phone which gave her a free phone to be delivered. After giving them the address on numerous times to the call centre, they keep on delivering it to the wrong address. This has been a month now and still no phone. I can't call them because they have to speak to the account holder but it seems like they will only listen to men who gets angry about something, WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. As i'm seeing it they are taking her monthly subscription without her consent and then still keeping the phone she is suppose to get.

Cheated
During early March 2009 I was called by a Cell C sales rep and offered a contract which sounded very lucrative. I accepted the offer and the handset was delivered to me promptly. It became apparent that I was misled by the sales rep and that the contract was not at all what was offered. THE NIGHTMARE BEGAN!!! I made numerous phone calls and ran into walls everywhere I tried to speak to somebody with the slightest inkling of what was going on. After an eternity of speaking to different people and nagging them to listen to the recorded conversations of the initial “sale” it was agreed that I was misled. Instead of cancelling the “agreement” I was offered R1000 to accept it!!! I refused and insisted that there was no agreement and that the handset must be collected from me. They eventually conceded. A week after the initial delivery it was collected by the same courier company (20 March 2009). I thought that was that.
NOT TO BE!!! A few months later I started receiving phone calls from Cell C insisting that my account with them was in arrears. Every time (at least 5) I explained the whole situation to the person who called and every time I was promised that the matter would be investigated and resolved. After a few months the calls stopped and I thought this was the end.
WRONG AGAIN!!! The next flurry of calls related to allegations that the handset was not returned to Cell C and that I had to return it. This led me to believe that somebody finally realised that the “contract” was cancelled. The problem was, the handset was not with me anymore. This was also explained to every person who called me and again I was promised that the matter will be resolved. Again, I thought now, surely, it must be over.
GUESS WHAT? WRONG!!! Next thing…… This was, almost to the day, a year after the “deal” was cancelled! I received a call from a person claiming to be a lawyer (with a KZN tel no) who says that she had instruction from Cell C to collect R 1574 from me being the outstanding balance on my account with them. We had a few conversations and she promised to take the matter up with her client (Cell C). I never heard from her again. This brought me under the false impression that the matter has been resolved. I should have realised my own naivety.
IT WAS FAR FROM OVER!!! In November 2010 I applied for a home loan and after all the initial hurdles were overcome I was informed by my bank that they could not lend me money as I was BLACKLISTED. Upon investigation it transpired that this related to the R1574 I allegedly owe to Cell C. I started the process of trying AGAIN to resolved the matter. Now, anyone who ever tried to get hold of person in this vast organisation with the slightest idea of what’s potting will understand. I took a WHOLE DAY at work surfing the internet sending e-mails, consulting my lawyer and making (mostly) unanswered phone calls to Cell C’s many tentacles, legal departments and “pre legal” (yes, that is correct) department. HA HA HA, no joy! No answer on any e-mail or complaint lodged. I am talking about at least two hours actually on the phone and at least 12 different phone numbers and call centres. Twice, I found people who really tried to help but could not…. They are gems who do not deserve to work for a bunch of incompetents. RUN! To this day I have no idea who to speak to and what to do to get my blacklisting overturned. Even if I should decide to pay what they say I owe them I doubt (for good reason) that this will resolve the matter! PLEASE NOTE: I never received any statement or letter or notice either by fax e-mail or post before I was blacklisted. I am sure this is illegal and intend to take steps in this regard. In the meantime I cannot get any form of credit and the prospect of a home loan is lost. Oh yes, the number allocated to my “account” with Cell C has been given to another person whose name was actually given to me by one of the helpful persons!!! (No, he does not return my calls).
HELP!!!

I'm totally disgusted with Cell C's customer service
My phone was stolen on the 4th Dec 2009.I called 084140 stopped my sim card and blacklisted my handset.I was told by the consultant that I will be receiving my ITC Ref with 48 hours so that I can continue by reporting the incident by the police station.
On 2 Jan 2010 I still have received no reference.I called in and a consultant by the name of Lisa said she cannot pick up any info of me stopping my sim or blacklisting my handset. She then advise me to go into a Cell C store and complete a blacklisting form .
On the 4 Jan 2010 I completed a blacklisting form at Cell C in Cresta Centre.Very strange because they could actually pick up that all the info that I stopped my sim and blacklisted my handset on the 4th Dec 2009.The form was faxed throught to the Customer Servise Dep and I was told to give them a call on Thurday 07 Jan to optain the ITC Ref.
I called on Thursday spoke to a lady by the name of Gladys who denied receiving any blacklisting form. She was to investigate and call me back I still have received no reply of feedback from them. I'm totally disgusted with Cell C's Customer Service I will be changing my contract over to Vodacom.
