Ridiculous
I have not even received the product yet, but will not do business with again due to horrible customer service. I attempted to call the customer service phone number for 20 minutes (busy) until I spoke with someone who was beyond condescending and rude. I asked for shipping information, because I had yet to receive this information via email. The man that I spoke with (assuming one of the owners) said that they "don't provide tracking numbers unless it is requested." He also recanted my order and said that I "stole the mandolin slicer" because it cost them only $8 less than what I paid. It seems to me that it is not my job to calculate a proper markup percent for their company. I would have gladly paid what was appropriate. He also went on to say that their "website has been in business before Google." I would prefer to pay 20% more from a reputable company. He disconnected the call with me quickly, most likely so that he could call Google and tell them of his grand achievement in Internet wizardry.

I like ChefDepot for gifts
I ordered many gifts from ChefDepot.com over the last few years. They have been very propmt and accurate with my orders. I like ChefDepot.com, My favorite item is the amazing magnetic Global knife set.

Fraudulent charge
This "company" is shady and not worth doing business with. I placed an order for a product online and received an immediate e-mail confirmation from "[email protected]." The e-mail had no information about when the product would ship. My credit card was immediately charged. I waited 8 days and heard nothing at all from the company. I sent an e-mail to the customer service department ([email protected]) requesting an update, and did not hear back. I called Chef Depot and the line was busy, of all things, for a couple hours straight. I could not leave a message, nothing. Just a busy signal. When I tried again, a few hours later, the phone rang. I spoke to "Craig, " who informed me that the product I had ordered happened to be out of stock. No explanation for why I was not notified. No explanation of what might have happened if I didn't call. He tried to convince me to get a similar product. I requested that he refund my credit card. He seemed to grudgingly acknowledge that he would. We shall see.

Poor service
Chef Depot would have to elevate their professionalism in order to be categorized as being merely poor in customer service. They are dishonest, disorganized and rude. Do not expect communication on any level except for the sale. Beyond that, you are on your own. Ask plenty of questions and try and document every step. Better yet - buy somewhere else!

Profoundly horrible service
This deeply disturbed owner has perhaps the single worst business skills I have ever encountered. If you order on the web from him and there are problems he will visciously attack you rather than work toward any reasonable solution. After ignoring your attemtps to reach him through every means possible (voicemail hell, ignore your email, etc) he will completely refuse to help at all. BE WARNED! THIS GUY IS A FEW PLATES SHY OF A WHOLE SET AND SCARY!!
Document everything. Report him to the Better Business Bureau in Illinois (where you can see that you are one of many).
Use your credit card company to dispute his charges. Maybe if enough complain he can be cut-off the Web before more are bamboozled by his "welcoming" website.

Bad service!
Absolutely do not order anything from this website. I ordered a $250 Christmas gift on December 2nd and never received it. After not getting a return response via email for my inquiry about shipping status, I called the phone number listed on their website on December 17th to check on the shipping status. When I called, I was treated horribly by the so-called owner for calling after hours! Keep in mind, no hours are listed on their website. He wasn't willing to help me track down my order and told me to call back between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. So, the next day, I tried calling between those hours and for the first hour, I got a busy signal. For the next three hours, I got a voicemail. I left voicemails and emails for them, but never heard back. I ended up disputing the charge with my credit card company and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I urge anyone and everyone to NEVER use this website. No one should have to experience what I did for any purchase, let alone a stressful time-sensitive purchase for Christmas.
