I had applied for a loan at Cholamandalam Bank during December 2007. The bank had sanctioned only 30, 000 to which I disagreed as I needed 40, 000. The manager requested me to wait until they e-mail to their Head Office at Chennai and clarify as to sanction the requested loan amount. I was pregnant (ninth month) and still waited for two hours. The manager convinced me that they would grant me the amount and made me sign all the cheques. I signed and returned home and there was no response for a week from their end. My loan amount was sanctioned from Citi Financial and called Cholamandalam to return my cheques. The manager claimed that they wiould scrap the cheque and I do not have to worry. I was in the hospital and I received a call forcing me to accept the cheques from Cholamandalam as they have sanctioned 40, 000. I informed atleast to 5 telecallers that I did not want the loan amount and wanted my cheques back. On Jan, 08 I find that Cholamandalam has deducted 2000 from my account for the loan which I dis not accept. I took a copy of bank statement and submitted to the Bank Manager in order to get my money back. Till date, I have no prompt reply. When I call Girish, he switches off the mobile and on calling the bank he claims that his mobile has some technical faults. I am fed calling the bank. As I have a infant at home and I am working, its become a pain calling the bank againa nd again.
