EJS Services originally contacted me by mail. I then spoke to a representative in December of 2009. IThey promised to help me settle four credit cards. I signed a contract and the proceeded to deduct a total of $8280 from my checking account to settle the four credit cards. They never contacted one of my creditors for the time up to May 2011. I settled three of the four credit cards myself. During that time frame I followed there advice and was harrassed by creditors the whole time because of inaction on their part. The fourth creditor and I agreed that I would pay $51.00 per month for one year then I would continue with payments at their interest rate. Soon after the account was sold to Resurgent Capital, who I tried to contact repeatedly for over a year. Finally they contacted EJS and offered to settle for 40% or $1950.00. EJS took a total of $8280.00 from me Charged me $5, 187.40 in fees and supposedly owes me $1, 142.60 which they promised to refund within 10 days, back on 5/25/2011. They have failed to do so. Is there any legal action I can take.
