Refusal to honor product warranty
Simply put, D-link tech support expected a customer to spend over six hours adjusting the settings on a defective and within warranty broadband wireless router that retails for less than $75 in an attempt to avoid granting an RMA to replace the defective product. The failed condition of the router was verified by an independent technology professional. The tech support supervisors at D-link repeatedly promised an RMA would be issued if the customer tried "just one more time" to adjust the router and the problems remained but each time the customer complied they were blatantly lied to and further demands were made for the customer to continue to try and fix the defective router. D-link has since stopped responding to the customer leaving the customer with an in-warranty defective product and no further recourse. This shows a profuse lack of ethics on the part of D-link.
