There is only ONE THING WORSE THAN DACOR PRODUCTS, it is DACOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. We bought our 1st coffee maker (for $2, 700) in the summer of 2006. It lasted approximately 6 months and, after several attempts at repair, and much wrangling, arm-twisting and hours spent on hold trying to speak to a customer service agent, the unit was replaced, after being usable approximately 6 out of 12 months. The 2nd unit started malfunctioning within weeks of delivery and, after several repairs, finally quit for good after less than 3 years of service (unless we were willing to replace a $1, 500 part, not counting installation labor). In the meantime, we made several futile attempts to contact customer service. Not worth the bother; they keep you on terminal hold, do not help you, do not return your calls, do not follow-up on anything. All around a bad experience with a bad company.
