This camcorder has ccd issue, the camcorder just shows a black screen when you try to record.

Sony says its image sensor (CCD) had a extended warranty for this issue, We did not get any email/postal mail regarding this while we get all other Sony promotions for new sales. when I have this issue now and ask them to repair, since it is a known problem with almost all of their Camcorders, Sony says they'll charge me 227$ and ask me to ship to Laredo Texas, where they have their service department. We have been a Loyal Sony customer for many many years, but we doubt the reliability and customer care now. We will not buy any more Sony products from now on if they don't take care of this problem at their cost.
