I have been charged a fee on $49.99 per month for a service that was never authorized by me. This charge has been billed through my AT&T bill from a third party biller called Payment One Corp. I contacted the company which told me that one of my employees had authorized the transaction and that they had a recording to prove it which they could not provide at that moment, but said they would call me back within 24-48 hours with a playback of the recording. They agreed to cancel the account and credit me back $149.97 of the $349.93 I have been billed thus far. I am still waiting for the return call. AT&T should take some responsibility for this scam as they should never allow a third party biller to add charges onto your account without authorization. As of this month I have also currently received an additional charge through the same billing company for $39.99 from a company called American Business Int. I am assuming it is the same scam. After contacting them, they have agreed to cancel the account and refund $69.90 in charges. Since these calls were made today, July 21, 2010, I have yet to see if the charges are credited.
