Money gone, no product provided
www.flowers.com 1950 Sawtelle Blvd #180 Los Angeles CA 90025
We ordered funeral flowers from this business via internet on July 6, 2007 from Ontario Canada with a delivery date of July 7, 2007 to a chapel in Victorville. My mastercard was charged $99 US ($107 Canadian) immediately and the written guarantee was on the website. I printed out the guarantee that any problems would be rectified.
The flowers did not arrive. The family assured me they were not delivered to the chapel as ordered. They had four orders delivered to the chapel from the same florist and no others. A local business ordered flowers which the family said did not arrive either.
I called flowers.com on their 1-800 service number. They would not provide the name of the florist, and offered to deliver the flowers to the home of the deceased. I advised I did not wish to have the flowers sent to the home as they were supposed to be for the funeral. I advised I wanted a credit on my Mastercard.
I called again after three days of waiting for a return call regarding how the problem would be rectified. I was told that "maybe the flowers went to the wrong deceased" however the chapel had only one service and one deceased. The next excuse was "maybe somebody else's card went on your flowers" and I was told to have the family describe all the flowers that arrived to see if someone else's card was on my flowers. I didn't think that was appropriate to do to a family who was in the process of burying their 19 year old daughter. They still could not confirm at flowers.com that the order had ever been delivered but they would "check with the florist".
I received an email from flowers.com and was offered to have the order "re-delivered" which was not suitable almost a week after the funeral.
I then received a message on my answering machine at home from Just Flowers saying that the order was reviewed and the flowers were delivered. Still the family as of two weeks later received no flowers from me. I advised I wanted a credit on my Mastercard for the full amount and was denied. I then suddenly received an email from Just Flowers saying the flowers were delivered because the "chapel signed for them" on the day of the funeral. However the flowers never arrived.
I spoke personally with the florist who delivered the four orders to the chapel for the service. She assured me she had no order with my name on it or anything to indicate flowers were to be sent from me.
I am disappointed that this company will not live up to their agreement to rectify a problem.
I feel as though I am the victim of theft as my money has gone to a company that did not provide the product. I am still trying to get a refund from this company and do not wish to have any flowers from them at all.
