I would like to file a compliant again Florida Power & Light Co because my lights were turned off due to not paying an additional security deposit. I move in an apartment downstairs and I paid FP&L $220.00 deposit for my lights. After living downstairs for 7 months an apartment in the same building became available upstairs so I moved upstairs. Well FP&L said I owe another $152.00 a total of $372.00 deposit for the apartment upstairs. So I questioned them why was the deposit upstairs so much higher than downstairs. I was told by their representative they took the last tenants average bill for two months and applied it towards my deposit so I had to a total of $372.00 deposit. Too me that is not right! The tenants before and my circumstances could be different. I work all day and the tenants before me may have stayed home all day, they may have children and I don't. No one circumstances is the same and how they can take someone else average bill and make them pay I'm not understanding it. Two different household, two difference circumstance and two different bill should not dictate how much we pay for deposit!!!
