I purchased a gateway MX8711 in Aug of 07. I started having problems with laptop shorty after the 1yr warranty expired. At the 1yr, I contacted Gateway and as to purchased an extented warranty. I was told because I purchased the pc at Home Depot, they would not sell me extented warranty. Shorty after warrenty was up I took laptop to one of the best pc shops in town. They put in a new harddrive and on Friday they were very happy, feeling they had solved the problem. On Monday the Gateway wad dead. I have not called afraid I will get India and get so upset I will have a stroke. They are so incompatent and uncaring.Since I hear the same story every where I go, why is there not a class action lawsuit going on. I would be at the head of the line to sign up. Is there anyone who cares???
