We have an extended warranty on our minivan which covers ALL major problems. Well 6 months after purchasing the minivan, the TRANSMISSION died. The service department at Gateway Motors is supposed to be putting in a used transmission because that is what the warranty will cover. Our deductible is $100. The service technicians are so incompetent that it took them 5 HOURs longer than the time alotted by STATE REGULATIONS. Now they want more than $500 for our minivan!!! They are completely dishonest and apparently do not know how to do their job. They are taking advantage of us. From the moment we brought our van there, the service tech, FRED, told us the warranty would not cover everything-that warranties NEVER do. Well, we spoke to the warranty company and they said the transmission is covered. We said fine do the work. Little did we know that Gateway would charge for EXCESSIVE labor and would take advantage of us. It is completely ridiculous! We call every couple of days to see when we can have our van back(we have 3 children-one of them an infant) and they tell us its still not ready and keep charging us more money. It has been a month!!!
