I was contacted by GMAC to sell my timeshare. They said they could sell it immediately and for a good price ($75, 000 - $80, 000) because it was in a high demand area of FL. After much talking and promises, I paid them $1, 000. After they received the payment, I was given the run around. When I called to talk to the individual I had been dealing with, I was told he no longer worked for GMAC. I could never get the same person twice and was always told they were working on selling the timeshare. After many phone calls, I finally figured out how to get the individual I first talked with. He WAS STILL WITH GMAC, but said GMAC was no longer selling timeshares, only renting them. This entire experience has taught me a lesson. DO NOT DEAL WITH GMAC!!! They are crooks. If you want to sell a timeshare, do it yourself or contact the company that owns and sells the timeshare and deal with them.
