U4GM Monopoly go Tax Tile Multiplier Strategy
Tasmanian Fortunes runs from August 20, 2026, at roughly 1:00 PM ET until August 21 at the same time. That's a tight 24-hour session, so dice control matters more than endless rolling. If you're also sorting albums through Monopoly Go Stickers, handle that between rolls rather than burning event time while deciding what to trade.

How the scoring actually works

Points come from three tile types: Chance, Tax, and Utility. Chance and Utility spaces use the lower starting value, while Tax spaces use the higher one. Your active dice multiplier scales every award. Sounds simple. The catch is that a huge multiplier does nothing useful when you're crawling through a weak stretch of properties.

The useful zone sits near Go. Both Tax spaces are close to Chance tiles, with Railroads nearby too. Start raising your multiplier when your token is about six to eight spaces from that area. Once you've passed it, pull the multiplier down. Don't stubbornly leave it high because the previous roll missed. I've done that. It usually gets expensive fast.

A simple rolling routine

1. Roll low while crossing quiet property stretches.

2. Increase the multiplier near Tax, Chance, and Utility spaces.

3. Reduce it immediately after leaving the Go-side cluster.

Reality check: one greedy max-multiplier roll can erase ten minutes of careful dice saving, and yep, it stings.

Which spaces deserve your dice

The tile groups don't offer equal value, and their side benefits differ. Keep this quick comparison nearby when choosing whether to press harder or coast.

Tile group Solo value Extra use
Tax Higher base points Best multiplier target
Chance and Utility Lower base points Useful cluster coverage
Railroad No solo points Tycoon Class progress

That Railroad distinction matters. A Railroad landing helps Tycoon Class, not Tasmanian Fortunes itself. Still, those spaces sit close to the strongest solo-event targets, so the same board section supports both reward tracks across several rolls.

Does every milestone deserve a push

A player in my group asked whether chasing every reward is sensible during such a short event.

Not really. Prioritise early Flags, dice, and easy tokens. Stop when the next reward costs more dice than it's likely to return.

Make the short window count

Set a dice limit before each session, collect the early Flags for Tycoon Racers, and check free gifts before spending rolls. Build cash only when you're ready to use it. If album progress is slowing everything down, you can buy Monopoly Go Stickers between event sessions, then return with a clear target and a sensible multiplier. Short events reward patience, oddly enough, far more than constant tapping.

At U4GM, make Tasmanian Fortunes count: save big multipliers for the Go corner, where Tax, Chance and Railroads can stack rewards. For MONOPOLY GO! sticker support, visit https://www.u4gm.com/monopoly-go/stickers then grab early Flags and keep those Tycoon Racers rewards rolling.
