I have yet again had to call my local phone company to dispute monthly billing charges made to my account on behalf of an online resource that I had never heard of/nor signed up for! I am so sick of having to sit on hold waiting for one of these companies to answer their phone, then argue with them that there is no way I would have signed up for any of these services! Fortunately, however, I was able to find out "who" was accessing my phone bill account-my 44 yr. old slug of a brother! The company says they would put a block on my phone number so he can no longer use my number for his living excesses, but still have to wait 1 to 2 billing cycles and that won't stop him from signing up with a different online service and billing to my account again. I then had to call the phone company and ask if there was any way of stopping this without disconnecting the phone service all together (which is unrealistic). More time on hold! Again, filling out a 3rd party block form and sending it back in they said will stop it (again, within 1 to 2 billing cycles!) someone from using my phone# again. Yet, heaven forbid, someone needs to call collect in a emergency, because they too will be blocked access! I guess you can tell, I am extremely upset and stressed over this whole ordeal!
