A physicians should not serve as a primary or regular care provider for immediate family members, there are situations in which routine care is acceptable for short-term, minor problems not mental problems. It is not appropriate for physicians to write prescriptions for controlled substances for immediate family members. As this physicians is doing so and her feeling has clouded her judgement in a way that is making the situation worse. She has proscribed and given many different prescriptions to this member and I feel that she has no right to be doing this for the fact of the relationship she has with this person. I need some help on the right action I need to take so this does not keep happening. This needs to stop before this gets in worse then it already has. What can I do and what are the steps?
