FRAUD / RIPOFF / THIEVERY
HIT Web Designs (formally Heritage Web Solutions) is a fraudulent company that outsources their work to third parties, who "RUSH" the projects they're assigned. I personally bought a website and after a year of unprofessionalism, all I can say to anyone looking to have a website built for them is...BEWARE OF HITWEB!!! They do half-assed work and then charge you for it. After a year, my website is not done and doesn't appear to be done anytime soon. I'm in the process of switching to another company, something that I shouldn't have had to do...I'm out of $2, 500 USD for a half-assed unprofessional website.

BEWARE OF HITWEB!!!

DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR CONS!!!

YOUR MONEY WILL BE STOLEN BY THEM!!!

BUT YOUR WORK WILL NEVER GET DONE!!!

btw...THEY OFFER NO REFUNDS!!!

There have been a variety of issues spanning billing, "service" provided, misinformation, sabotage, etc. In March 2009, I contacted this "business" to have a website developed. I was told it would take approximately 1 month to complete, but 6 months later I was still being jerked around. I was misinformed about the capabilities of the system. The excuse given was that the first account manager assigned to my account was not trained for ecommerce. I take that excuse as an inadvertent admission that they didn't even see fit to assign appropriate personnel. The design person had to be told repeatedly to take my personal information out of my business site. I discovered months later that it still was not all removed. The product entry person kept telling me to look over the site to make sure everything looked good or to report anything that needed to be fixed. I kept pointing out problems which were simply covered up instead of fixed. After my project was
simply put on hold because noone was assigned to fill in when she went on vacation for 2 weeks, which was 5 months into this 1 month project, I emailed her telling her that I was concerned about the programming issues persisting after the site went live. She responded by denying any knowledge of the programming issues which she spent several weeks covering up. Her supervisor then kept telling me to point out the problems after I got him involved. Of course, I had already pointed out that she had covered them up so that I couldn't point them out. I told them that I wanted my account terminated, and that I wanted my money back. I also insisted that they delete my card number form their system because of what I had heard & read about their billing practices. I disputed the transactions with my credit card company, but Heritage lied their way out of it. I paid another company to develop my website for me, but Heritage would not release my domain name. I
don't know if this was just another act of sabotage or some ridiculous attempt at extortion (come back to Heritage if you want your domain name). Heritage has started running my card again. I am not just willing, but would be very enthusiastic about discussing this with the media. The only way this type of "business" can get away with this is that most people can't afford to pay $200 per hour for some law firm to maybe do something about it.
There are numerous complaints, but Heritage keeps going. We need to work together. I want to be contacted by anyone with complaints. Whether you went live with a defective site or not, whether you had the money to start over with another company or not, I want to hear from you. I even want to hear from employees, former or current, willing to speak out about the dishonest policies of Heritage. [email protected]

Very bad service, unorganized stuff
Very bad service, started the project back in Sep 2009, and they haven't even finish the design part yet. When I ask for help, it takes weeks for them to reply or never reply..WORST web design company i ever had.

Non-Performance
My husband paid for and began working with Heritage Web Solutions in January 2009. In March 2009, he still did not have a working live web page, so he handed this project off to me to assist HIT to get it done. To date, now December 30, 2009, he STILL does not have his website. We have been passed around to three different designers, we have waited months now to get a simple blog, I have contacted the sales department hoping to get some action, to no avail.

I personally have created or located every piece of text and graphic for the site and have provided them to the 'designers'. I have a great deal of knowledge of web site design and graphic design. I should have simply created the site for my husband when he asked, but I was too busy at the time - little did I know that more time than ever would be required of me to work with Heritage.

The prototype/test page HIT (Heritage) has provided to us is the most basic and elementary page I have ever seen. An entry level web design student could have produced what they have provided to us, thus far. The total dollar amount we have spent for a non-working, elementary level basic web page is $580.00!!! Not the $199 they advertise. What the heck are we paying for???????

I have sent a specific list of items needing to be corrected and/or changed to this very basic page over 2 months ago, yet we have gotten no response from the design team. Their terms & conditions specify that when THEY send you a message or a page to approve and you don't respond to them within 5 days, they assume the page is approved and move on to the next item. Well, it's been TWO MONTHS since I requested our last changes, not to mention ELEVEN MONTHS since we began this horror story with Heritage, and we are still nowhere closer to an active website than we were a year ago.

DO NOT waste your money or your time with this company. Their designers are not professional and they do not deliver!

MONIES PAID FOR WORK NEVER DONE
I hired heritage to build a web site for me. I paid them up front for building the web site and 1 year of hosting. I had to make monthly payments for them to build web site. I then pre-paid for them to upload 5000 items to the site. I also pre-paid them for a flash package to be uploaded. I also pre-paid for the shipping companies to be downloaded onto the site. I then had stroke and was hospitalized. According to the contract they were suppose to renew the domain name with net firms. They did not renew the domain name and netfirm pulled their stuff taking my site off the internet. Heritage never down loaded the 5000 items because of my stroke they never got the item list, nor did they down load the shipping info or flash package because there was no site for them to do this also due to the site not being renewed by them, yet they still continued to withdrawl from my checking account the monthly hosting fee's for several monthsabout 8 months. I have been in contact with them about a refund and they keep hiding behind a contract that they say they owe me nothing. However they violated their own contract when they issued a refund to me and said here keep your mouth shut.

Pathetic
Heritage Web Solutions have got to be the most inefficient company I have ever dealt with. I submitted a request for changes on my site which after a month is still not done. This is the second time I have submitted changes and waited in excess of a month for results. They continually promise return calls that of course do not materialize. If business moved at the pace of this company, we would all be in big trouble! I am very sorry I picked this company to do my design and hosting. PLEASE stay away from them.
