Went to HH Gregg to purchase new dishwasher and stove due to my current stove and dishwasher were no longer working right. Spoke with salesman and was looking at Fridge as well. He told me that the delivery charge was $69.99 and covered delivery and installation of up to 5 appliances. Looked at open box model of Fridge and salesman told me item was new and has never been used before. I bought it along with dishwasher, microwave, and Stove. The sale took a long time to put info into computer and had to have sales manager Jason Mercer come over a few times. As Randy the salesman was entering info into computer he told me that the dishwasher was not covered under $69.99 delivery fee and a separate installation fee would have to be paid. I said I would install myself. Then later in the inputs he told me that the microwave was not covered with $69.99 delivery fee. I said that I would install myself as he told me everything that came with items for an easy install. Left store with a delivery date of 7/30/2010. Took out HH Gregg card for 0% offer on all appliances. All Appliances were Frigidaire Professional Series.

Fridge, Dishwasher, Stove, and microwave were delivered. The Fridge was hooked up and looked to be working fine. The stove was not however. The delivery guy and partner had dropped the stove which they didn’t tell me they dropped. Had told me a leg was missing on the stove and they should have caught that from the store. He brought microwave and dishwasher in and left stove in garage as it didn’t have a leg. The microwave and dishwasher were missing all parts needed for me to install. The dishwasher was dented on one side that wasn’t there the night before and was missing front plate and all tubes and hoses needed to install. I called the store and they put me in contact with Mary Beth. She had told me she would personally deliver the items needed to install microwave and dishwasher. She brought the items out and told me that someone would be out later to install dishwasher, microwave and stove at no cost to me. She would also credit my HH Gregg charge $100 for damage to dishwasher. Later that day got a phone call from Mary Beth saying that I would have to pay for installation charges for microwave and dishwasher and told her I would not. Hours went by and I had waited most of day for install kits for both items. She finally said they would install items for free. 9:00 p.m. Rusty and his partner came out and did installation with dishwasher and microwave with no problems. The stove however was very bad on bottom and they agreed it had been dropped. They had found stones in bottom legs of stove. When they opened up stove they found the missing leg along with a piece to fridge that was installed. They said that the 1st delivery guy must have put those in there due to the fact that the piece to the fridge was in there as well. They managed after a half an hour with plyars and a hammer to get leg back on stove because bottom of stove was messed up so bad. They were able to get stove in and installed. After they left I noticed stove was not level with counter and could not be moved because bottom was so bad.

Went into store and spoke with Mary Beth and Jason Mercer. I found another stove to replace the one that was installed. Jason said it was $50 more than the one I had and I agreed with that and had stove delivery and install for next day.
08/01/2010 –Rusty Came out again with partner to remove broken stove and and install new one. No Problems. The fridge that I had bought however has not stopped running since it was put in.
08/02/2010
Spoke with Mary Beth about Fridge and she said they would replace with Brand New Fridge. And would be out on 8/03/2010 to deliver and take out old one.

No Fridge new fridge no phone call, nothing waited on new fridge all day.

Later that day got phone call from Repair man and they told me that me HH Gregg called them to look at Fridge.
08/04/2010
Repair man came out and said Fridge was supposed to run all the time that is what makes them efficient. I sat and spoke with him and told him that the fridge has never shut off since I had it. He told me it must have shut off and performed some more tests. He found that the temperature reading were not right with the freezer side of fridge and said he would have to order part. The part was a thermister. Told him that I would see if I could get a new fridge but order part anyway. Time frame the following Tuesday 08/10 2010 part would be in.
08/05/2010
Woke up and went down stairs Fridge was still running and water was all over floor. The temp on fridge was very high and now longer cooling. Went back to store to get new fridge and picked out floor model because that is all they would give me. Spoke with manager CJ and Randy Lighty again. He told me Fridge was new and was just an open box never been used. Set up delivery for next day to be delivered. Randy had told me he had left fridge on at my request to make sure it was working right. After 4 hours I called Randy and he stated that fridge got to temp and shut off and was working. He unplugged it and would be delivered next day.

Called Ge who handles the credit card for HH Gregg. They had stated that only one item was on promotional rate of 0% for 12 months and the rest were being charged 29.99% interest. Spoke with Josh at store he said he would get it fixed. He said he sent an email to Credit Card Company.
08/06./2010
Old Fridge was taken out and new on was delivered. The delivery guys had installed fridge and after an hour fridge started to make awful noise coming from compressor and was not holding temperature as well.
08/07/2010
Went back to store HH Gregg in Mechanicsburg. I asked Jason Mercer if I could speak with him. I spoke with him and told him Fridge was not working right. He had told me that he would get me a brand new fridge next day for the same price I paid said he would take care of everything.
08/08/2010
Got a phone call from HH Gregg saying the new fridge that they got in was damaged had a dent in it. They would order me a new one and it would be delivered the next day.
08/09 2010.
Called store to make sure fridge would be out 1st thing and or after 3:00 pm. I had an appointment with a potential client and would not be home between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Spoke with Josh and he stated he would keep the delivery time between 1 and 4 p.m. be last stop. When I got home called store again to make sure delivery men did not come out yet. Josh stated they have not and would be out around 4. Got a phone call from Rusty saying he would be there around 5 or after 5. They did not show till 6:00 p.m. Delivery men started to take out old fridge when one of them called me outside to look at new fridge. The new fridge had a large dent in rear corner of fridge and they said that they would bring out a new one first thing in the morning and even marked it on paperwork. Said they would be there maybe 7:15 to 8:15 a.m.

08/10/2010
I woke up at 6:45 to get ready for delivery men. Got a voicemail from Billy stating he would be out between 4 and 7? I called him back and he told me I was the last delivery of the day and I told him I supposed to be the first. He hung up on me. He called me back and stated he lost service. Still no fridge. Billy got here after 7 and they had the same fridge with the same dent in it as the night before. Finally after calling HH Gregg many times they brought a brand new fridge out. Thank to Rusty. He was the only person at HH Gregg that was sincere.
If you decide to buy from HH Gregg you would have made the worst decision in your life. Don’t go through this and go somewhere else. You may have to pay a lil more but its well worth it.

Terrible experience
I purchased a complete set of Samsung kitchen appliances (fridge, stove, above the range microwave, and dishwasher) on July 2, 2010 with a personal check. At the time of purchase, the range was out of stock but was expected within the next week. Because hhgregg could only deliver to my address on Wednesday, delivery was scheduled for July 14, 2010 - the first Wednesday when all appliances would be in stock. I received a phone call from the delivery manager on Monday July 12th, telling me that they would not be able to make the scheduled delivery because the refrigerator and dishwasher were out of stock. I was confused, did he mean the range? No, the refrigerator and dishwasher that I paid for had been delivered to another customer with an earlier delivery date. MY refrigerator and dishwasher were out of stock with no definite due date. I was disgruntled and asked for some sort of resolution from the store's management. I did not receive another call from the store until Wednesday morning, July 14th. At that time, my salesman called to let me know that they could not make my delivery - the replacement appliances had not arrived. I asked to speak with the sales manager - Mindy - who had approved the final details of my purchase on the 2nd. The salesman - Wayne - was nice enough but had to ask permission and get guidance on even the simplest of questions. When Mindy got on the phone she indicated that she could deliver LG appliances but could not provide any type of anticipate delivery date for the Samsung appliances I had ordered. I asked for a refund. She discouraged that and encouraged me to shop around because it was unlikely that I woul find a deal as good as this one elsewhere. She was surprised someone would make this deal b/c they "lost $50. I reminded her that she worked the deal! I did shop around and ultimately decided that even if it cost more money I would not patronize this business and I wanted a refund. On July 15th I called Monday and asked for a refund. She again had to be reminded of my situation and proceeded to explain that had she been my salesman she would have encouraged me to schedule an earlier delivery date to ensure that the product I was purchasing would be in stock. Really? The delivery date was predicated by their delivery schedule and again, SHE was the sales person/manager. I was livid. I explicitly asked her the refund process and the EXACT date that I could receive my refund. She asked someone in the background the details and said that I could visit the store 15 days after the date of purchase to receive a refund. I asked for the specific date, she replied July 22, 2010. I visited the store again on July 25, 2010 where I was told that the information she provided was incorrect. It would take an additional 7-14 business days to receive my refund because a check was being requested AT THAT POINT. I still have not received my refund. I called the customer service line to convey my complaint and in true fashion to the other comments posted here - no success. The representative on the phone was apologetic, but no real resolution. At least she apologized - no one in the store apologized once during this situation. I simply heard excuse after excuse about why this happened and they were only able to offer these great prices by keeping a small number of appliances on hand, blah, blah, blah. Think twice before shopping with this Company. My new appliances from SEARS are being delivered tomorrow! They were more expensive, but I couldn't be happier.

Service
Do not buy ANYTHING from HH Gregg. Their return policy and service are poor. I got a TV from them that had defective sound. They would not order a replacement TV until I returned the defective one. They said I would have a new one the next day. That never happened. They have my money and I still do not have a TV.

Doesn't stand behind product or warranty
Our 50" Samsung DLP 1080p television stopped working because the optics block went on it. The HH Gregg repair contractor said it would take a least a month to fix. I called our local HH Gregg store and they said to contact GE Warranty (we had a 5 year warranty). I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes on hold only to be told that our warranty doesn't cover a "rental" and to contact HH Gregg Corporate. I called customer relations at HH Gregg Corporate and was told that I needed to contact either the GE Warranty or Samsung and that there was nothing they could do (other than take my money for the TV and warranty, I reminded her). I AM SO SICK OF PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! WARRNING TO ALL - DO NOT PURCHASE A THING FROM HH GREGG. AT LEAST SEARS OFFERS A RENTAL PROGRAM THROUGH RENT A CENTER IN WHICH THEY REIMBURSE YOU FOR THE RENTAL.

DON'T HONOR PRICE MATCHING POLICY
DO NOT BUY FROM HH GREGG! ESPECIALLY NOT THIS STORE located at 3222 EAST COLONIAL DR. in ORLANDO, FLORIDA 32803. Phone # 407.893.9891

After my girlfriend and I had checked out some other electronics stores, we found the tv we wanted. The same tv was available at BEST BUY, SEARS, and HH GREGG. The tv was cheapest at SEARS, but we decided we would rather buy a tv from an electronics store since they specialize in tvs. So after leaving SEARS with the price written down on the SEAR'S salesmans business card, we drove home. On my way home, I called HH GREGG to see if they would price match. After the receptionist checked with a manager on duty, she came back on the phone to say "YES, we can match that price". (They never mentioned their 10% price match guarantee either... SCAMMERS!) I gave her my name, asked her to hold that tv for me, and said I would come by HH GREGG the following day to purchase, pay, and pick up the tv.

So the next day comes, and we walked into the store. We were ready to pay and complete the sale after a long wait of about 20 min, as they scrambled around to make the sale happen. Then the manager on duty, said he couldn't match the price, and they wouldn't sell us the tv for the price that had already been verified the night before by a different manager! He never said sorry, and even though the same women who had taken my call was there in person, and verified she had clearance from the manager on duty the night before, the manager on location that day said NO! They continued to act like they were calling SEARS to verify the price we had told HH GREG this tv set was being sold for, just across the street! The attitude from the manager was unfriendly, unfair, and basically treated us like we were crazy liars! So we told the manager and staff in front of an empty store without a single customer in it, that we would buy the tv across the street at SEARS, and that's exactly what we did. Not only that, but we came back to the store, and walked up to the manager, and showed him the receipt as proof! Obviously he lost a customer for good! I'll never go into another HH GREGG ever! High pressure salesman, poor selection, and an odd variety of items to say the least. Do NOT waste your time going to HH GREGG. They are total scammers, and especially desperate in this economy considering the salesman work on commission, so imagine how aggressive they are! SUCK IT HH GREG!

Fraudulent Activities
Friday, April 24, 2009, approximately 12:30 p.m. EST -- purchased refrigerator from HH Gregg and scheduled delivery for Sunday, April 26. Paid with check in full.
Sunday, April 25, 2009, 6:30 a.m. EST -- received call from delivery department stating that delivery would be between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. And 40 minutes prior, would receive call from delivery person letting me know they were on their way. At 5:30 p.m. I called the delivery number and was told that it had been a really bad, overscheduled delivery day with many problems, difficult deliveries, etc, but that I should receive my refrigerator in about an hour. At 7:30 p.m., I again called the delivery service and was told the truck was in another town about an hour south of mine and also got the same sad story about difficult deliveries. The person who identified himself as the manager (and the only manager) said that he expected delivery would be about 11:00 p.m. or midnight. I told him (quite unpolitely) that this was not at all acceptable. He said he could deliver it on Monday and I advised him that too was not possible since I work and could not miss. He did offer to schedule the delivry at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27. (I suppose he was hard of hearing or just plain didn't care.) I was irate and told him no, I could not be home and wait since I had to work and to cancel the complete order. His response was a quite laid back "Okay, if that's what you want."
Sunday, April 26, about 9:00 p.m. I wrote the Better Business Bureau and our local TV's "troubleshooter".
Monday, April 27, 2009, about 10:00 a.m. I called the store on Hurstbourne Lane and asked for the store manager and was told I was speaking to her. I requested that the order be cancelled, told her I had stopped payment on the check, and also briefly related the delivery problems. She said she would take care of it.
Friday, May 1, 2009, 7:30 a.m. I checked my bank account since it's payday -- HH Gregg has forced payment on the check. Great. I'm now writing the BBB again, as well as following up with the Troubleshooter. No telling when I'll get my money back.

Awful company
HH Gregg advertised a Toshiba LCD HDTV in the Sunday flyer. Went to the store as soon as they opened that morning to find out that the only one left is a floor display and it isn't for sale. They then steer me to some other models, all at least $300 more than the one advertised. They employed several high pressure sales techniques and acted rather aggressive. Thankfully there is a Frys and Best Buy nearby, so I managed to extract myself from the store, avoiding another salesperson at the door who tried to convince me not to leave without purchasing the TV (not many left, they said, we have the lowest prices, they said).

Imagine my surprise when I found several of the same models at Best Buy and Frys for at least $100 less than HH Gregg. The model I ended up purchasing was only $677 at Frys (HH Gregg had theirs for $899...only one left and you won't find a lower price, they said).

Out of curiosity, I went back a week later to look at DVD recorders after checking prices at several competitors to find the pricing at HH Gregg to be higher and the sales techniques sleazy.

I recommend you avoid HH Gregg, can't think of any reason to shop there as better prices and more pleasant service can be found elsewhere.

Unfair Practice
HH Gregg are scam artists they will show you the item you want and tell you it is the latest. Which is true cause it is the display but at time of purchase they will do a bait and switch and sell an older model at the same price as the latest and greatest. If you try and return anything they do not give money back if it cost more than 100 dollars. They will mail you a check from corporate in 7-10 days. This is also not true cause I am still waiting and it has been 21 business days and counting. So buyer beware HH Gregg is run like a sleazy car lot full of crooked car salesmen.

HR
HH Gregg is a public company but still allow HR violations including ones spelled out in their handbook to occur. For example they are turning a blind eye to a situtation occuring in their Murfreesboro, TN location.
An Assistant Manager (female) and male sales associate are allowed to have a relationship and even reside in the same house. They work in the same store side by side. Now let's talk about a CONFLICT OF INTEREST. Gregg is very inconsistent when it comes to these issues.
