paint product
Purchased Ralph Lauren paint two years ago and we have since done some renovations and need to do touch ups and Home Depot do not carry this paint any longer. They provided me with Behr paint and the color is not the same. We are in the process of listing our home and can't find another company that sells Ralph Lauren Paint.
Does anyone in Calgary know of any other company that sells Ralph Lauren Paint.
Please e-mail me @ [email protected]
thanks

OVERCHARGE ON PAYMENT
April 2, 2011
credit card overcharge
Not only does this entity overcharge percentages on their credit balances, they charged my bank account twice of almost 4700.00 for payment on the same date. It's taking them 5 days to charge back my bank account. They are not being managed properly for the consumer and conduct bad business in regards to credit. Do not take out credit from them.

Veteran's Discount Program
Home Depot has always granted me a discount for being in the military. Recently I was informed that only certain issued picture ID cards would be accepted. The county that I live in, Dutchess County, NY, has begun issuin these new photo ID cards to ALL veterans in the county. My brother tried using his card at the Hyde Park / Poughkeepsie store, on Route 9, as few days ago and was told the card is not a valid Government Issued card and cannot be accepted for the discount. After some discussion, the cashier stated that she will accept it THIS time only. My brother called the manager on the phone later that day and the manager, after being unsure and unclear, stated that if he came is now he would be granted the discount. It is obvious that Home Depot has no clear policy, and their employees don't know the policy, either, concerning the discounts for vetera, s. Yes, it is a Voluntary program, but we were all under the assumption that Home Depot was participating in the program. ARE they or ARE THEY NOT participating?? If they are, why are they not accepting or honoring the County Government cards issued to us through the Veterans' Administration of our county?

Overpriced installation
The wife and I went to Home Depot to buy a new front door and screen door. Picked out from their "stock", paid a $30 deposit, then waited over 1 week to have some guy come over to "double check" and re-measure the measurements I already provided them. Of course, our measurements provided were correct and is a "stock"/"normal" size. Another week later, get a phone call telling us that everything is "all set" and told us the price, i.e. almost $1k for a $205 front door and $300 screen door. Installation would run us about $200 for the front door and $100 for the screen door. Due to our work schedules, I gave them the "thumbs up" to do the job and paid with my debit card via phone. Got a phone call about 4 hrs later, telling me that we needed a permit for a door! Not sure of our exact code enforcement laws in our county but seemed a little strange but whatever. Was told it was $181 for the permit. Paid again via credit card for that. Got curious and called our local code enforcement supervisor who advised that permits for front doors are $108. Left a message with the installation supervior, or whatever his goofy title is, and asked that he call me back because I had inquires about why the permit price is more than what the codes enforcement department told me.

Flooded Kitchen
Stay away from this Home Depot!
7 Weeks ago they installed a dishwasher in my home. The very 1st time we used it my kitchen was flooded. Home Depot, Linstar and Maytag finger pointed for 7 weeks now and have never reacted to the problem.
I called them within 4 hours of my install to notify them of the problem, and I have called and emailed for weeks after.
Finally after 4 weeks I had to have the wood floor removed from my kitchen (at my expense), upon removal we found a series mold problem.
Now my kitchen is tented and can not be entered with out a respirator.
I have been 3 weeks with no kitchen, and no help from Home Depot.
I use to shop here because if there was a problem, it was always resolved. Now, due to their lack of action, they have tripled the damage to my home with no restitution offered as of yet and thousands of dollar out of my pocket. Do you really want to trust a company that does this?
Think really hard about any purchase from this place.
Peter Webb store manager, well lets just say less than responsive

Delivery and Customer Care
We purchased a condo in Glendale, AZ in September of 2010. Excited about our bargain, we came back to WV and waited to find a good deal on appliances for the condo. We purchased four major appliances over the phone at the end of November after seeing an ad online. The salesperson worked with us and we thought everything was fine until we set up for delivery.
We set the delivery date for January 26 after clearing it with a friend who was to let the deliverymen in and be there for the installation which was to take about 2 hours. On January 24, the delivery company called and said the appliances were still on back order and delivery was then set for February 2. We explained to the delivery company, GE Delivery Company, that we would like delivery around 10 am because our friend had obligations later in the day. They said OK, they would try. Around 15 minutes before the delivery company closed on February 1, we received a call and they said delivery would be the next day somewhere between 12 and 4 pm. We told them this wouldn't work and the only solution they could offer was somewhere between 8 and 12, which still wouldn't work. They could only give a 4 hour time frame.
We immediately called the Home Depot in Peoria and talked to the manager on duty. He called GE Delivery Company and tried to work out something to fit our time frame and the delivery company wouldn't give him any satisfaction either.
After a lengthy discussion with the manager and getting nowhere, we decided to cancel the order. He said an expediter would call us the next day to credit our account. She called and said the account would be credited and we would receive a check for $125 payment we had made on the appliances. At that time, she informed us that the refrigerator was still on back order which no one had bothered to tell us. So that would have meant another delivery hassle to go through. She said she would inform the sales person about the canceled order and also contact the bank about our refund check.
We received a call a day or two later from another lady, whose name we didn't get. She offered to take $500 off the price of the appliances and have the appliances delivered to the local store to await delivery when we could be in Arizona. Our counter-offer was to take a $1000 off the price. She said she wasn't authorized to do that amount and would have to take it to someone higher up and would get back to us the next day. We still haven't heard anything from her.
We finally called the Customer Care Center in Atlanta and told them the whole story. They were to contact the local store in Peoria and try to work something out. After several days, the original complaint taker passed us off to another person to deal with the complaint. Following this, we finally received a call from another store manager at the Home Depot in Peoria and she said there was no way they would give us $1000 off on the appliances.
The case worker in Atlanta returned our call and informed us that Home Depot would not give us the discount we asked for and could not give any explanation why they wouldn't nor did they have any kind of counter-offer. He told us case closed, we had gone as high as we could with the complaint. We made it clear to everyone we spoke with that we had hoped to buy flooring and several more things to do our remodeling of the condo. We were looking at one stop shopping and had hoped Home Depot would fill the bill. Obviously not!!!
In the meantime, we have found out that GE Delivery Company has a very lousy track record with Home Depot's delivery, not just in Arizona but all over. Much to our dismay, we found out our sales person had not been informed that he had lost a significant sale until we told him.
In our opinion, there is not customer service in any stage of Home Depot nor is there any communication between the management and the sales people.
We will now take our business to someone on the local level in the Glendale-Phoenix area when it comes to remodeling our condo. We have also told a lot of people they shouldn't deal with Home Depot and they have agreed to do so. Please beware when dealing with Home Depot and having anything delivered.

The experience of renovating my bathroom using Home Depot has been excruciating, painful and agonizing
Based on its fancy advertising for helping people in renovation needs and fast service, I had high expectations when I first embarked in my home improvement project.
I have called day after day, only getting their promises of 'delivery by tomorrow'; but tomorrow came and went and still no delivery. It started when they delivered the wrong part on November 21. When I went to the store to pick up the order, I told the CSR that the part number did not seem right; I ordered part number 748-32, but they were delivering me part number 748-34. He told me it is the way they packaged it.
I took the part home and found out it was indeed the wrong part, but it was too late. I already ripped my bathroom apart in trying to fit the wrong part into it.
In the meantime, I had to pay my contractors a day's salary for the job not done. I went back to them for an exchange and they first told me delivery will be a month later. I did not agree to 30 days. They then delivered a new package on December 4, and my contractors came out and found out that it was a crushed package. The part was totally unusable. Again, I had to pay the contractors for the job they were not able to complete.
I went back to them and asked for replacement. They promised delivery on 12/15. I called on 12/15, and they told me it will not be there till 12/19. I called on 12/19, and they told me to call back 12/22. I called 12/22, and they told me to call back on 12/26. I called 12/26, and they told me to call back on 12/29. I called on 12/29, and they now told me it will be 12/30 evening.
What do you think I can expect on 12/30 evening again?
In the meantime, I do not have a bathroom. With 5 members in the family the inconvenience and the trouble is unimaginable

Military discount
I was a customer of Home Depot, and as a veteran used the discount they offered to us. Last weekend went into the Glen Mills store and wanted to purchase the items I would need to redo a floor in a bathroom. When I went to check out I was told they changed their policy. Now the discount was only offered to active, retired or those with a service connected problem. I put the items back and went to Lowes where the military discount was not only accepted but I was thanked for my service. A veteran is a veteran. I served for six years and spent a year in Viet Nam. But since I was one of the fortunate that made it back without being injured, my service is deemed not good enough to qualify for the discount. I called Home Depot to see if what I was told at the store was in fact the company policy and the person I spoke with told me it was. There are millions of us out there that served our country with pride, even during a time when it was not a popular thing to have done. I for one am proud of my service and thrilled that I was one of the lucky one's that made it back alive. Think about my comments before you decide which big box home improvement store you decide to shop in. Thank for the chance to pass this along. Klaus

carpet installation
Do not be fooled by their cheaper carpet or installation prices. We decided to try them for one room before doing whole house installation. Thank God.. because, We have been waiting over a month & the sub contractors are rude & unreliable. The store is no help & after they have your money you are stuck... We will update how the installation looks if it ever happens.
