This company unilaterally doubles home insurance coverage in error and then refuses to provide a credit for the amount of the overcharge even after they admit to overbilling. It seems unbelievable they could just unilaterally increase a premium by so much without a specific notification of the change but they say it is mentioned in their 8 page policy renewal sent out once a year. If you are like most of us with a mortgage, the PITI is paid by the bank from your escrow and not something you study each year to see if the home insurance company is trying to pull something over on you. RUN from this company as they seem to think this is normal business practices. After 4 hours of meetings they agreed I was overcharged, but they refused to refund the amount overcharged...Unreal!
