Installed a $600.00 multi port valve on my pool. Within 10 days, it froze up. When I complained he said "oh I knew that was going to happen, sand is leaking from the filter." Had he told me that up front, Iwould have waited on the valve. He didn't mention it because he wanted to cheat me out of the money. I have used him for repairs before. When I complained, he sent me this email: (keep in mind he was always there for repairs, of course the pool needed work)
Ms. Fisher, You are a very delusional person, in that you want to blame anyone and anything that you can for your pool problems. But the reality was is that you did not maintain or do the proper maintenance that a pool requires to run. The pool was inbad shape the 1st time we came by and also the second time. I do not know who you are getting your information from, but you are totally wrong. A flow valve does not just mal function something has to clog it up to make it do this. Clean your pool out! Stop trying to blame someone for you not cleaning the pool.
