I totally agree with lindjo her comments are dated 10/13/09 and today is September 12, 2013 almost four years to the date and nothing has changed. We have parties and loud music any day of the week way past 10pm (sometime til 4am) with no consideration for those of us that have to wake up and go to work. We have children playing around in the elevator running and using the stairwells as their toilet. So many young children left to their own devices while the parents are in their apartments getting high. Others selling drug and bringing their junkie clientele to the building. It is terrible to feel unsafe in your own neighborhood; there is a desperate need for police presence in our neighborhood. We have working cameras (as we know they where view when the junkie burnt the mezuzahs on the 13th floor); if management viewed these cameras weekly they would have the culprits, if it is a child bring in the parents and write it up, if it is an adult give them a warning and write it up. if it is done again get rid of the individual this would send a message to other residents that are also in violation of their lease; possibly this would put an end to this senseless behavior and start a new learned behavior. The grounds around 130 Clymer are disgusting to say the lease, cups paper plates, liquor bottles, diapers so much junk!!! the fence around the building near the entrance is part wood part metal gate it's an eye sore, the park in front of 130 has been closed for over 2 years which is ridiculous; workers came out and left pipes sticking out which are labeled with the word GAS, its a miracle these crazy kids have not lit it up!!! we have bad tenants and bad management, I've been in the neighborhood 46 years it was very difficult in the past to get an apartment at Independence Towers. We may have be moderate income families but we where clean, had our children at home or went with them to the park. Granted their may have been one or two misbehaved children but you where able to speak to the parent and that was the end of the issue, now parents want to fight you when you tell them what their delinquent children are up to. I really do not want to leave I have made a life here, my friends, doctors, and relatives are here. I would like to see the building restored to what it once was and still can be. Clean up the building, the grounds and get rid of these bad tenants.
