Charging recieved after cancellation
I have canceled my account with your company a few months ago and yet I am still being charged for 19.95 per month for service I do not want or recieve anymore please cancel my account and delete all information related to me from your records. If you do not I will seek legal action.

Unauthorized charges
I used Intellius for a people search and they didn't comply with service so was suppose to reimburse me for funds, which they did, But then kept charging my checking acct. for something I knew nothing about $19.95 for three months which kept my acct. in the arrears and now will not make right $80.00 to take care of all overdrafts. For Anyone wanting to use this site, I strongly recommend that you don't for they do not live up to their word. I am on a fixed income they took advantage of me I feel.

Dissatisfaction
Intelius takes your money and gives you nothing in return. The the most a few lines of old information or no information at all for outrageous charges. They will not even consider a refund. Their practices are unlawful and unethical. They need to be shut down. They tell you they will provide all of this information, but their seaches are outdated and superficial. They are misleading and get you to think that you can make multiple searches when in fact you only have one. They fail to respond to your concerns in order to buy themselves more time and charge you more money. They offered me a free search for my dissatisfaction. Why would I accept that when the two I paid for were worthless?

Unauthorized billing
I went to the intelius web site to look up a cell phone number, it was called reverse phone look up. I had saw someone else us this service to look up a cell number. I used my credit card and was charged 5.99. However, I never got the phone number that I paid for. So I let it go, what's 5.99. But every month since that happened they have debited my account for $19.95. I am contacting my bank and the better business bureau to try to put a stp to this theft. So far they owe me over 45 dollars. I plan to recover every penny.

Billed twice
I was billed twice and refunded only once for a service that was supposed to be canceled. I called and got the royal run around.

Fraud alert
I am very peeved!!! I happened to look at my account online and saw that INTELIUS charged me for a service that I NEVER signed up for. I used it once for .95cent search and it never said anything about a monthly service fee. THIS IS FRAUD!!! And of course they are not open on the weekend. They just take your money without you even knowing!!! I will be calling the BBB and reporting them!!! This company was talked about on my local news channel that I found out about after the fact. Now I am going to have to change all of my account info so that I can protect myself!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A FRAUD AND A MAJOR RIP OFF!!! TIMES ARE HARD ENOUGH WITHOUT COMPANIES LIKE THESE RIPPING HARD WORKING PEOPLE OFF!!!

Withdrawal after cancellation

fraudulent use of credit card
After purchasing a 95 cent one time item the company used my credit card to enroll me in a yearly subscription for

HOW TO GET A REFUND FOR BOGUS CHARGES!!!!!!
I submitted a complaint last week here because while reviewing my bank account statement I learned that I had been charged $19.95 a month for 3 months after I purchased an address look-up from Intelius. The look-up only cost $0.95 but they subscribed me to some service without my knowledge or permission and charged my debit card every month without any notification for a stupid "Identity Protect" service that I didn't want/need. I was pissed and demanded a refund for all 3 months of charges and they said I agreed to their terms of service when I supposedly bought the subscription and that I could not get a refund, only a credit for a future purchase (so they could sign me up for some other crap I don't need and charge me for it). I e-mailed back that if they didn't give me the refund I would report them to the BETTER BUSSINESS BUREAU, which I did the next day. Today, I just received an e-mail from Intelius customer service notifying me that the subscription had been cancelled, they refunded me for the full 3 months ($59.95) and offered me a lifetime 10% off all future purchases (which I will obviously not be using ever again). Filing the complaint only takes a few minutes, and from what I've seen on here, some people had hundreds of dollars taken so it sure as hell is WORTH IT!!! It's the only way they'll take you seriously!

fraudulent charges
I ordered 2 address searches from Intelius back in May for $0.95 and $1.75. I recently found out from my bank that they have been charging my bank debit card every month since then for $19.95 a month for something called Identity Protect. In total, they have charged me $59.85 for this service which I never ordered, do not need, and do not even know what it is! I was never sent any confirmation for this supposed order either. I contacted their customer service via e-mail and they said they would not give me a refund because I agreed to their "terms of service" (which must include fraud and stealing money out of their customers' accounts) and instead offered me credits for their website worth a couple dollars! Is there anything I can do besides file a complaint with the BBB (I already did and am waiting for Intelius's response)? I have found hundreds of complaints online against Intelius for the EXACT SAME THING!

DO NOT USE INTELIUS FOR ANYTHING! ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD INFO, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU MONTHLY FOR THINGS YOU DID NOT ORDER!
