failure of service
I called to check on my credit card number that you web page says is being used on another account, no one answered, I waited the 20 minutes like the recording said and then intelius hung up on me. I want to cancel any account I may have immediately because your customer service is terrible, you should be ashamed of your company!

Super Scam
This outfit generates worthless information having no value whatsoever. They keep on charging your account without authorization. It is a scam operation of the first order. I had asked for a background check on an individual who was a con artist in the construction industry. The public Court Records in the various Florida counties in which they did business were loaded with complaints, convictions for fraud, theft and threats to life limb and property. Intelius came up with nothing. What a dumb outfit.

Unauthorized billing
Being billed $19.95 @ month and unable to access any services then tried to cancel subscription, but still being billed $19.95 @ month. Never used services from this company.

unauthorized charges
I used this service once and authorized payment of .99$ on my debit card which they deducted. Then they took $19.95 out this month without my authorization. I want to be refunded this amount ASAP and ensure they close use of my debit card. I have not been able to get them on the phone. Thank you. Susan Polk

Not what was expected.
I googled my ex-husbands name and found out he died 3 years ago. Well I was trying to get my information such as when, where and where he was buried. So there name popped indicating they provide all the information for $6.95, I thought oh well why not. All they provided me with was with the same information Google had provided me : Name, DOB, SS # and Date of Death.???
Well today I go into my checking account and saw a charge from a Company called VALUE MAX 123 ??? So, I called them and they tell me "this is for a Discount of 20% of future purchases????? And, they got my information from this INTELLIUS???? Why???? They agreed to refund by account within 2 business days...
This is a scam and I will be calling the Bank in the Morning and informing this of this charge.

Deceitful Sales Tactics
I used Intelius to for an address lookup for a total charge of 95 cents. Several weeks later two charges appeared on my bank statement - 11/21/2008 VISA - AP9*VALUE MAX $19.95 and 11/20/2008 VISA - INTELIUS SUBSCRIPTION $19.95. Thankfully I reconcile daily, so I caught the charges early. I recognized the name, Intelius, but the charges didn't match, so I did a search and found this website. I called Intelius and simply stated that I had two charges on my bank account that I did not authorize, the representative was nice. She cancelled the subscriptions and refunded the charges. I was calm and she responded well to that. Bottom line they have deceitful check out practices.

bad info.
I just paid 8.95 for an attempt to look up an e-mail or a good address for a person that owes my office money. Both were incorrect and the phone number was disconnected. I am just looking for information and the web site keeps asking for more money which bothers me because it did not help the first time. Please e-mail me about what can be done.
