excessive charges
I ordered.95 was charged that plus 19.95 twice for stuff i did not order. They have talked to me given me the run around and confirmation numbers to give to my bank. My bank says that it is bs and they are just trying to get rid of me.
do not do business with this place!! it is a scam.

ripped off
bought a product for $19.95. They delivered a product which was supposed to be a background check. It was missing critical data. The decisions I made based on their data cost me dearly. When your business is data and your data is faulty then consumer beware.
Next they stole $88 from my account. I can not get that money back. No way. They refuse. No one is home. Call back some other time the message says. Our office is closed even though it is a normal business day. I called the bank. The bank said that without a credit slip from the merchant all I could do would be to change my card so they couldn't keep charging me. I explained that I have autopays coming from this account. It is an extreme inconvenience to change my card. Too bad says shittybank.

Pay first, then no results
Beware - Intelius charges you before they will tell you whether or not they have any information on the person you are looking for. After you pay and they charge you for lots of add-ons, you find out that the person cannot be found.
The results contina people with similar names that they do have in their database. But they should first allow you to make sure that the person can be found via a birthdate or other unique information before charging and then producing no results for the search desired.
Quit disappointing for the #1 service of this type!

Unathuorized charges
I used Intelius twice for a people search on 7/27/09 and 9/14/09 and should have been charged $4.95 and $39.95. I have been charged a total of $159.60 so far. I have emailed them and they said they would reverse the charges but have not done so. I have contacted BBB and now I'm going to see an attorney, this is so wrong and it needs to stop!! some of the charges are from 24 plus and ID Protect which I did not authorize any of these charges except for the first two.

Do not use
Intelius is a scam. I ordered a report based on a unique social security number and last and first name. The report returned 151 unrelated searches impossible to comb through and I did not receive information about a person I was looking for. Customer representative manager was useless to the best. Very polite but useless nonetheless. She insisted that despite advertised search by a unique identifier I should be happy that I received so much useless information and I all I had to do is throw it way or get a credit to run another useless search. They CAN only search by last, first name!!! Never ever use them again.

Don't get anything from this company
I signed up just to get one phone number and they charged me $1.95 and then signed me up for a id protect service. They said I signed up and took their trail offer. No I didn't. Total scam. Then I called and they accused me of signing up for their service and got upset when I called it a scam. They take your money. I hope someone takes them to court. Very corrupt company. They take advantage of people just wanting phone numbers. This is what is wrong with this country when people can keep ripping people of like this.

Taking unauthorized funds
Was searching to locate an old friend, and since then, without authorization, intelius has been taking $19.95 out of my checking account. Tried to contact them on a Saturday by phone... 10 minutes of garbage recordings later they gave their business hours which don't include weekends. The voice provided a web site to cancel this unauthorized coverage, and the site (intelius.com/manage) does not exist.

Fraudulent Charges
This company is a big rip off. Beware they offer a 1 time fee and once they get your credit card number they charge you $19.95 a month. Check your bank statments carefully. Don't use this company.
