devious business practice

I used Intelius.com to lookup the address of an old friend to send a Christmas card. Although the lookup was advertised as FREE in the Google search, when it came to getting and address it cost $.95. In a hurry I went ahead an used my debit to pay the charge. A week later a $19.95 charge appeared on myAccount Activity report cryptically encoded INT*IDPROTECT MTR SVC. I have so-far been unable to talk to anyone at Intelus. I would warn anyone considering using INTELIUS.COM to find an address or phone number to reconsider.

RIP OFF

I recently did a search using intellus for my grandfather. It said that here would be a 95 cent charge for the one shot 7 hr search for one person. I guess someplace in fine print it said that I had signed up for a $19.95/month charge for ID protection if I did not cancel it in 7 days I would continue to be charged that amount. I guess it was so fine I missed it. I called them and they pretty much said tough but we can cancel further charges. I said that would be great seeing you ripped me off in the first place. She would not do anything about this charge but gave me a guys name Ed Peterson in Bellvue Wash. I wills end him a note. STAY AWAY FROM INTELLUS. Then get this she then offered me a 2 month special. You are kidding right ?
