I have moved with key moves a number of times and they have previously been very efficient. However we had to move last weekend - firstly they eventually arrived 1 hour late.Then they enterered and after perusing told us they had a problem, they had brought an 8 ton truck to move our little apartment and the security wouldnt let them through. Now - background - they moved us into the complex with a 4 ton truck(allowed) - stipulated in the contract as a 'truck', so after heated conversation with the supervisor where i refused to pay an additional R500 for shuttling, he argued with me that i needed to specify what type of 'truck' on the contract (The contract does not state what size, nor does it ask what size - it merely asks if trucks are allowed in the complex). The supervisor knew we needed to move so refused to accept the charge, my obvious rebuttle is how can you move me in with a large truck and then charge me an additional fee for moving out with a truck? Its not my concern that your not specific, youve done it before with us - an 8 ton truck for an apartment? That i have to pay for ? Border line extortion as they know you have no choice!
