Wrong Diagnosis and big ripoff
These people used scare tactics and a wrong diagnosis to try and sell me an unnecessary laser treatment for $7500. Avoid them at all costs, they are theives and liars!

I recently had a blemish on my forehead appear, it looked like a wart to me, but I wasn't sure. I called to make an appointment with LDI. They were easy to reach, easy to schedule and re-schedule, and got me in for a consultation in no time.

I met with a consultant, who was very slick man in a business suit. I told him I had a wart on my forehead, he looked at it and said he wasn't sure it was a wart and that I needed to see the doctor. He left, a few minutes passed and the doctor came in. He put gloves on, looked at my forehead and said it wasn't a wart that it was a skin growth caused by sun damage. He called it some kind of keratosis, but said that it wasn't cancerous and he could zap it away with a single $6500 laser treatment. I wasn't even expecting the word cancer to come up in conversation, which made me very nervous. I gasped at the cost. He then said that I needed to have a full laser treatment because my face was severely sun damaged and that he could offer that treatment for only another $100o if I had the keratosis removed. I politely declined and said I needed to think about this because it was a lot more money than I expected.

I then called my general practitioner who referred me to a dermatologist. I met with the dermatologist today, he glanced at my forehead and said I have a wart. He froze it off and said there was a slight chance that I may need a second treatment. The consultation co-pay was $18 and the procedure was another $20. He said it was not any kind of sun damage or keratosis, that it was nothing to worry about and would be gone in a matter of a week or so after the treatment.

Please do yourself a favor and get a second opinion before you agree to any treatment at LDI.
