My husband put a diamond ring on a lay-away plan for me. Over several months
he had paid $1300.00 on it. It was a $3000.00 ring.
In the mean time the job he was working for at the time was not getting him much work and he was laid off for several months.
I ask the owner, which is Ken Lauhoff, if he would reimburse us our money we had put down on the ring as it was still on lay-away and Lauhoff's still had it.
His response was that he did not do business that way and he would have to sell the ring
before he would return our money, which would probably be arround X-mas.
About a week before X-mas I phoned and asked him if he had sold the ring yet.
His answer was no but he had someone looking at it and would call when it was sold.
It it now sometime after X-mas and I have phoned him and he will not return my calls
and he still has our money and the ring.
I don't want another ring or any other merchandise from this business in exchange for the money that was put down as I never want to do business with them again.
