The water and ice dispenser on my newly delivered LFX28978SB French Door refrigerator quit working after 20 minutes. The panel showed "ER CF". I read the manual and looked it up on line to learn I had to call LG. Then it started making a loud knocking noise - every 30 minutes in a cycle of about 50 knocks repeated 3 times. I called LG and was told they would send out a repair tech. I don't want a repair tech - I want the NEW frig I paid for. Of course I bought it on the internet from a dealer somewhere in Eastern US and I live in Texas. Waited 3 months for delivery because of LG backorder. Now dealer insists I deal with LG. So, wait 2 weeks, first part sent was wrong part - wait 2 weeks, correct part installed and dispenser worked 4 hours before same ER CF message. Knocking noise never stopped. Repair Tech claims it's a compressor issue and he's not qualified. Call LG. By now I'm dealing with Executive Services - I guess that's the dept for customers who are the biggest pain. Now they have to find a qualified tech. Won't even consider replacing entire unit until at least 3 repair attempts - on a brand new refrigerator! So, I've filed a dispute with my credit card company and will pursue reimbursement because I no longer want an LG Refrigerator - just my money back so I can buy some other brand.
