I was hired by LoneStar Transportation to be a local driver, to go one location
and pick up a load and drop it off at another. I was supposed to be gone only during the day and be home every nite. I was also promised pay for traveling to Gainesville, Tx. for company orientation and reimbursed for all my expenses as long as I turned the receipts in at the Kilgore, Tx. office which I was hired to work out of. The first load as soon as I got back from orientation, was an out of state and oversized load which I was not qualified for. The company owner begged me to help them out in a jam cause they were short handed, and I reminded him this is not what he hired me for and he said, he would put me on the account I was hired for as soon as I got back. So I reluctantly took the load and had to come back empty and they callled me on the way back and said they had my next load, going to St. Louis. I brought their truck and trailer back to them and filled out my paper work and turned in my receipts and the keys and told the man I quit because they lied to me. I reminded him once again, he promised before I even got hired local driver only. I also, told told them just drop my check my check in the mail for what they owed me and we would be square with no complications. I have NOT recieved a dime from these folks! That's just wrong them lying to drivers and cheating hard working folks out of their money!
