SEASONAL STUDENTS HAVE MORE RIGHTS THEN REGULAR PART TIME EMPLOYEE'S
Regular Part Timers are struggling for hours now, because Lowe's has cut their hours down to 10 hours a week. But Lowe's continue to give more hours to the Seasonal Students. These Seasonal Students have more rights then your Regular Part Timers who are there all year round. The Seasonal Students come and go as they please and when they graduate from college they will be gone. Here I'm struggling to make ends meet, because I can not find a full time job. How am I suppose to live on 10 hours a week on the pay they give me. I know for a fact that they pay some of these Seasonal Students more then your Regular Part Timers. If the Seasonal Students get kicked out of their system and come back, they will be categorized as experienced and get more money each time they come back! If they can not afford to pay the Regular Part Timers then they should start laying off their Seasonal Students. Not cut the hours on their Regular Part Timers who are struggling for their lives! Most stores are not even hiring their Seasonal Students back. These stores are more loyal to all of their Regular employee's then Lowe's! I have no choice in this economy!

They advertise next day delivery, even when they know that they can't deliver
We bought a washer and dryer on Monday, we were told then that they coudn't deliver them till Saturday???We talked to the manager, he said that they would deliver them on Tuesday.Well today is Tuesday and Lowes called and said that the units that we bought had a problem. When we purchased these there wasn't a problem.I believe that the reason is that they cannot deliver today is because they are over booked. The salesman had told us that they only had one truck running??? As big of a corporation that Lowes is one would think that they could overcome this problem. So why do they advertise next day delivery, when they know that they can't deliver. Now do we sit and wait or what. Time is money. They have two trucks in the parking lot for rent?why not use one or two of these to catch up on delivery???I'll bet Jimmie Johnson wouldn't have to wait.

Service Advantage
Lowe's service advantage program is pretty much a complete waste of money. I have a Husqvarna riding mower that is less than 2 years old and still covered by manufacturer warranty. Lowe's doesn't even properly know who should be repairing the mower. They pretty quickly had it picked up where it sat at one company for three weeks and I heard nothing, not a peep. Finally I call the company directly and they inform me they have to deliver it to another company for the repairs because it's still under factory warranty, and they only do "extended warranty" for Lowe's. So after sitting three weeks at one repair place, it gets moved to another one that does the warranty work but goes to the end of the line. Now another three weeks has passed and my mower hasn't even been looked at yet. Six freakin weeks without a mower that's not even two years old yet. I can't even remember what I paid for this stupid plan but whatever it was it's not worth it at all.

AGE DISCRIMINATION
You can not advance unless you are under 25 - 30 years of age at Lowe's. People over the age of 40 are constantly being written up inorder to get them fired and they also have great work ethics.
They love to advance the 25 - 30 year age group, because they do not know any better and will follow them like a love sick puppy dog and kiss their ass. This age group will believe every lying word as if it was the bible. They also basically get away with murder. Most of them are not dependable, by blowing off work. They rather talk to other co-workers in their age group, then do what they are paid to do. One was so lazy that she saw a piece of paper on the floor, that she stepped on it and slid it under a skid. A head cashier (under the age of 30) even had an unauthorized person in customer service for approxiately 5 - 10 minutes. Lowe's don't even allow floor associates behind the customer service area. Most of their head cashiers will treat the over 40 age group like they are children of the age of 10 and demean them in front of customers. They also have the power trip and throw it in you face.
They give more hours to the seasonal workers, which are their students, because they are back for a week from school. The regular part time people are left with only 10 hours, while the seasonal workers get 20 hours. Most of your part timers are trying to make ends meet and are there all year round, while the seasonal come and go as they please. Lowe's know that they are cutting hours, but they will find hours for the seasonal people. I feel bad for them too, but everyone else are fighting for their lives too!
Grant you, that they have one or two to keep up the appearance that they don't discriminate. Lows's totally age discrimate. The store manager will state one thing and completely does the totally opposite thing.

Harassment
A complaint is never good. The last thing someone wants to do. However, the only good thing about this complaint is that AT LEAST it wasn't "sexual". It's actually very sad to look at it that way. I rather not go into details but I do want it to be known that Management has performed little to none with taking action. I've read several other complaints about Lowe's and they all say the same thing, "Management doesn't seem to care, hasn't taken action yet, won't do anything about it, "ignoring" the situation." That's why the majority of the people who have complaints immediately say, "Take it to Corporate." Skip the nonsense within the store and go to Corporate. They don't listen to their employees; hear what they have to say, actually listen to them, consider what they're going through or take the serious issues at hand and consider doing something about it. "Management will stick with management whether the situation be right or wrong". Unfortunately, that was quoted from direct conversation between myself and a Zone Manager discussing the current issue at hand.

Speak English
I am highly offended by all this Spanish in lowe's!!! not only do they have Spanish written all over the store, the employees can't speaking English!! It's like walking into Mexico, doesn't Lowe's have any pride in their store and their country anymore? Hire Americans that can speak English and take down all the Spanish in the store!!! I will not be shopping at Lowe's anymore until the Spanish is gone and they can hire people that speak English.
Lowe's is just another typical store that is selling out their country and the American people for a dollar I encourage all Americans to not shop at this store any more. If Lowe's feels the need to cater to the Spanish people or people who speak Spanish language that's great, but do it in Mexico or other countries where the language is Spanish, the designated language for the United States is English keep it that way!!! may God bless America and the American people!!!

Scam charges
I ordered 9 pieces of sheet rock and 1 piece of plywood (which took over 45 minutes they were short handed on a sunday as usual. Delivery was $49.00 ( I found this out after waiting over 25 minutes for someone at the pro desk who never did answer) and I was willing to pay it even though it was $45.00 less for the same delivery and materials at McCoys because I was told they would bring the materials in my house and being a woman I couldn't handle carrying all of it by myself. The morning of the delivery no delivery. It wasn't until the afternoon he finally called and said he was going to drop it in the driveway. I said I paid to have it delivered inside and he said he was only 1 person and it would be an additional $2.00 a sheet and I would have to wait for anther delivery day until they had 2 guys. After speaking to the store manager the only thing she was willing to do was refund my money and credit me back. If you're looking for customer service don't shop at Lowes in Killeen or either in Temple (their delivery charge was $69.00). Go to a real lumber yard. I learned my lesson.

Consumer Credit Card
I am extremely upset with the fact that my credit limit was lowered from $2500.00 to $1470.00 in less than 24 hours and without any notification or justification. I looked at my account online on Friday, November 6th and had over $1000.00 left to utilize. Went to make a $200.00 purchase on Saturday, November 7th and the card declined. I called to the credit service number and was told that the bank decided to lower ALL consumer credit card limits and that a letter will be sent in the mail explaining why. As I stated to the lady on the other line, my account has always been paid on time and have never gone into default. My account has ALWAYS been in good standing and it is unacceptable that my limit was lower due to the economy. I would understand if I had not been making payments on my account or if my account payments had been late on a continual basis, but that is not the case. I have done everything necessary to keep my account in good standing yet I’m being penalized with no explanation as to why. This is not only ridiculous, but completely unacceptable. I expect some answers and have not received any. If I would have ever thought this would have happened I would have NEVER reopened my consumer credit card with Lowe’s, but rather would have opened an account at Home Depot or another store. I cannot believe the complete disregard to your customers and the lack on communication. I DO EXPECT A RESPONSE WITH SOME ANSWERS! And you can believe I will be posting this on the internet for other consumers to be aware of the games that are being played.

Scam and cheating
One of those pop up windows came up when I was signing off of my Bank Site. It was to get a $500. Gift Card to Lowes for taking a survey. I usually just ignore the surveys, but I decided I would take this one. I thought, they are advertising on my bank site and Lowes is a reputable company so it should be okay. I took the survey and had to order items from 2 companies in A, three items from 3 companies in B, 2 items from 2 companies in C. Against my better judgment I did. I ordered trial items for $1.95 up to $5.95. All had club memberships and you had to cancel by the 10th day or so. I finished and waited a few days before I started to cancel. I received 2 of the items in 2 days, called to cancel the membership, received a return merchandise # and sent the items back. I then called all the places I ordered from and cancelled the memberships, except for two, which I kept. Well, I haven't received any notice or emails regarding the gift card for Lowes and there is no where to call or email about receiving it. I did, however, receive quite a few charges on my credit card from things that were cancelled and things I never heard of. I am disputing these charges, but now I am being told I have to have proof of my cancelling an item which I can't do because it is not something I knew about until I looked at my credit card statement and saw these companies and charges. I called the companies to find out who they were and to get my credit card credited and was told I couldn't. This is when I went to dispute it with my bank. My bank is now telling me that I have to send them proof of the cancellation before the cancellation date. So now I have gotten charged by three companies that I never heard of and I am going to be stuck because I don't have any proof of cancellations. I cancelled by credit card and they issued me a new one because someone was charging items on it, but these charges are not getting removed.
Moral of the story - Don't take the online surveys, I don't care what anyone says, they are a scam and you will end up paying for a lot of items and they are anywhere from $14.00 to 100.00 per item.
