Yesterday I filed a complaint about Lux e-cigs-also known as The Trio-smokeless cigarette-and their statement about joining this club according to Levi who I talked to in customer service yesterday to complain about their practice and prices-he tells me that 99.99 that I was charged is because the product is covered for life. As I mentoned to him that I can buy this same product with the same lifetime warranty in any smoke store for 39.99--and that I got scammed big time from them--they were never authorized to charge any more than $4.95 for the smokeless cigarette-and I, at no time saw any disclaimer that I had 14 days to try this product and if it was not what I expected I was to send it back--or they would collect $99.99 --at that price--I surely would have sent the thing back--further more--I never received nor had I signed anything to that effect or anything else with their company.
Yesterday-my husband and I had gone to do banking and when he got his total--it was off by $134.24--we were charged 69.62 each month--and here is the catch--the 2nd charge of $69.62 was on January 7th---and had my husband not asked for the total -we would not have known about the 2nd charge until the first week of February when we got our January bank statement--these people are very sly and are crooks--just like the $99.99 we were charged--there is no way we would've known about it within 14 days to cancel---or dispute the charge--which again I will state, they had no authorization to charge any more than $4.95(yesterday I had stated we paid $5.95-I apologize--it was $4.95) After the trip to the bank--my husband goes down the stripmall to the smoke shop-where I can purchase this $99.99 product for $39.95--with lifetime warranty--the charge of $69.62 is for 3 boxes containing 6 filters -which I have been receiving for the last couple of months and have not touched one of the boxes-I have all the filters that came with the product--after finding out about these charges--I've been too sick to my stomach to even touch the damn thing--further-I smoke menthol cigarettes-and I have been getting non-menthol filters-anyways--the cigarette smoke shop charges $9.99 for each box of 6--so if I was to purchase these 3 boxes at the smoke shop--it would cost me $30.00--not $69.62--is there a lifetime warranty on these as well--explain the difference--and let me tell who ever reads this---the cigarette smoke shop is also in business to make a good profit on anything they sell. Which tells me -- this cigarette smoke club that sucked any one including me into their wicked web with deceit and lies--is making one hellava profit off of everyone--on their package it is stated :"As a member of the LUX VIP Smoke Club, you will be entitled to special discounts. Yeah right! Do we have a right to get our money back--and since my husband can't trust them--as I cancelled this unknown membership yesterday--and told them not to charge one more thing on that card--my husband cancelled the card out and got a new one--and it cost him $10.00 and I believe -should I be entitled to a refund-they should pay for that as well. What else can I do at this point? I never got one receipt with any product they sent me--just the product--don't they have to have additional permission to use our card? How can companies like this get away with something of this nature without a single signature at all? Thanks for listening??
