Worst online shopping experience
My worst online shopping experience ever was with Mobshop. When they first launched, I thought it was a great idea, and purchased several video games from them at good prices. But then I purchased Rayman (GBC) for $15.00 in May 2000 and never received it. I thought, "Okay, I'll call them up and let them know." So I called them on a Saturday and they said that the person with the "authority" to handle my call would be in Monday. So I called back Monday and explained my problem. The person I spoke to said a new game would be shipped out. Peachy. But two weeks later, still no game. I called, told them to just refund my credit card and they said to call back later, because the supervisor who could "authorize" such a thing wasn't in right then. Second verse, same as the first. So I called back, and the person they told me to speak to said that she didn't have the authority to give me a refund, that rather the refund had to be approved by the "Corporate" office, and that process could take 6-8 weeks! What the???? For $15.00? Needless to say, I was shocked. Long story short, it took approximately 10 more phone calls, four more months, and one extremely and two extremely disgusted rants at their so-called "customer service" reps before my money was FINALLY refunded. Amazing. I haven't bought anything from them since.
