It's hard to review a product when I can't even get it started. I bought a Nokia 1661 cell phone only to find that it's impossible to get the back cover off to insert the battery. This problem is not unusual--Google "Nokia 1661 back cover" and go to Nokia forum. We need to have cell phone lemon laws.

One of my colleagues has purchased a NOKIA 1661 @ Rs 1900 on 25th Jul 09. To our surprise, the handset got damaged by 1st week of Sep i.e. within 2 months of use !

He has taken the hand set to your Ashok Nagar Service Centre on 3rd and he was asked to come and collect it today. When visited the Service Centre, he was informed that some water particles are there and to repair that they have asked Rs 300.

When came back to office, he says the service centre people are claiming either water particles inside the handset or the hand set is fell down to maximum of the customers and charging for repairs.

Our colleague categorically denies that there was any incident of falling the handset in water or there is any chance of getting water into it.

In view of the above, we seriously doubt that the service centre is not providing warranty service effectively to the customers.
